Chereads / Sol Vestitor: New Age of God / Chapter 39 - The Predator

Chapter 39 - The Predator

Sol run toward their pursuer, passing the hunters, he didn't even weaver in his steps, it was only about time before that thing got him so he better takes his chance.

Dion wanted to go after him but the other hunter pulled him with them, as a team they cared about their leader and won't let him join Sol.

Soon disappear at a junction, Sol didn't spare them a glace as in front of him there was a giant Predator about to swallow him whole.

In front of him is a giant snakehead with blue metallic scales and ice blue eyes, When he looked at it Sol could feel like his body had turned into stone.

Normally people will be very anxious about it, they might drown in despair, but for Sol, it gives him hope and happiness.

The predator was only a few meters from him before it suddenly stops like a car having their hand brake pulled.

Shock can be seen in its eye, it changes into confusion then turn into disgust, hissing sound can be heard from it.

"sssshhh... Sol Vestitor, it is rare to find a pervert like you down here" She looked at him with disgust and hostility. "I had heard all short of rumor but you seem worse than what I had heard"

If there wasn't any vow between them, Nerodia would have snapped his head off, Sol can feel his back sweating.

"why is that? You looked like I have molested you or something" Nerodia had closed her eyes so Sol can move.

Sol felt wronged, he didn't think he had done anything to offend the giant snake, the most he did as disturb her lunch.

"Don't you think wearing a maiden's skin all over your body is sexual harassment?" Nerodia glare at Sol, he stopped moving and his skin crawl.

After a few seconds of silence, Nerodia closed her eyes, "What are you doing down here?" She questioned the man.

"We are running from the city, there is a zombie outbreak in the city!" He explained as fast as he could.

Nerodia's eyes open once more, this time wasn't from anger but shock, he could saw its disbelieve clearly.

"fuck! Can't you stop doing that?! It is uncomfortable to be seen by you!" Sol complained in his heart, he wasn't able to open his mouth, but even if he could, he wouldn't want to offend the snake.

"I never heard about zombies in ancient history," it thought, Nerodia had gotten more than just power from its bloodline, it also got knowledge about the ancient time.

"Interesting, let me follow you out," It hissed, and suddenly its body becomes smaller, it turned into the small blue snake Sol remembered.

Nerodia who had turned small climb Sol's body and warp her body around his left arm like before they come to the city.

"What the fuck?! It can make change its body size at it will!" Sol was shocked by what he saw, it was already so dangerous with just one power, now it can resize as it like, its threat level just go over the roof.

Sol could move because the snake had stopped looking at him, he raised his arm and looked at the snake, "What are you doing ?"

"I'm just minding my own business, you can just ignore me" I replied lightly.

Sol had a hunch that the snake was planning something but he didn't know what, he had tried to talk to the snake but it just ignore him.

He did not have any way to get rid of the snake so he just continued his journey, this time he didn't have any guide so he just walks toward the way he was going.

Sol had walked for what he felt like a day but he still didn't find any way out of the tunnel.

He had met with a group of rat-man a few times, but each time they looked at him they would run away.

At first, he was confused by them but after a few encounters he finally understands, they were not afraid of him, they were afraid of his passenger, they must have met with Nerodia before.

Nobody in their right mind would voluntarily fight with Nerodia, It was just too overpowered, in this tunnel nothing can beat her, It was at the top of the food chain.

"Fuck! What if it breaks its vow?" Sol was very worried, Nerodia was way stronger than he had remembered.

What if it grew strong enough to survive a divine punishment? Was what Sol thinking all this time.

He didn't know how big or how small the snake can resize its body but he was sure that it can destroy the city he lives in and everyone in it.

"Why are you walking in a circle?" the snake voice startles him so much, it had stayed silent for so long.

"I'm looking for a way out that is the closest to the temples" he replied with some hesitation.

"If you don't know the way then why don't you ask me? Are you stupid?" It replied in disdain.

"Fuck! You were the one who had ignored my question for hours!" Sol complained but he unintentionally said it out loud.

"hmpp.. follow my direction" It tightens its body around his and that his hand becomes numb.

After a few hours, he finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel, He runs as fast as he can toward it.

Sol had missed the fresh air so much, when he reached the end of the tunnel he falls into a frozen lake, he lay there taking the fresh air.

He was a kilometer away from the temple but he didn't need to dig any snow to get out, It was better that he walk a bit further than dug a ton of snow alone.
