Chereads / Sol Vestitor: New Age of God / Chapter 18 - Accident

Chapter 18 - Accident

After a few weeks, Sol gets a deeper understanding of the city and the temples power structure.

The strongest temple is the Temple of Jupiter, the King Of god and God of the Sky and Thunder. Most of their follower is people in power from the old government. He doesn't know the exact number of Heir they have but rumors say that they have more than ten Heir.

Second is the Temple of Neptune, the God of the Sea. While they don't have as many Heir as the temple of Jupiter, their follower is people from navy and firefighters, their combat strength is enormous.

The third is the Temple of Ares, the God of War. Most people from the military and police are their followers, it said that they can rival the Temple of Neptune in strength, while they can beat the temple of Jupiter if no Heir joins the fight.

Fourth is the Temple of Diana, the Goddess of Hunt, and the Moon. Their follower was hunters.

The fifth is the Temple of Vulcan, the God of Flame and Forge. Almost every temple has its back to providing them with weapons.

Sixth is the Temple of Juno, Queen of Gods, and the Goddess of Childbirth. Almost every woman who joins them so their descendant may have her blessing.

Seventh is the Temple of Mercury, the God of Travel and Tradesman. Their heir always has super speed.

Eight, ninth, and tenth are the temple of Venus, Goddess of Love and Beauty, the temple of Ceres, Goddess of Agriculture and Harvest, and the temple of Apollo, the former God of the Sun.

While the temple of Venus's Heir and Ceres's Heir mostly have the non-combat ability, the Temple of Venus has the most number of Heir, and the temple of Ceres has a decent number of both Heir and follower.

On the other hand, Temple of Apollo doesn't have any followers for people's dismal respect for the former God, rumors say that Heirs of Apollo is under the protection of Goddess Diana in her brother's absence.

On the bottom of the power-ladder is the temple of Vesta, Goddess of hearth and home, and the temple of Minerva, Goddess of Wisdom.

Both of the temples don't have any Heir, Vesta is a Virgin God while Minerva is still a child, people conclude from her statue image.

If we count the number of a follower then Temple of Vesta has the upper hand, their Priestess can bless people with warmth, so homemakers favor them.

Temple of Minerva's followers are mostly inhuman or orphans, while some activists join them too, there isn't many combat personnel among them.

While other cities may have more than 12 Temples, but almost every city only has these 12 Temples.

That is said, the joint government of 12 temples decides that each school will have a real combat test every month and it will start next month.

This following month, Sol trains his students with the help of Miya. She is a great combat teacher, maybe because cat usually teach their child how to hunt so it comes in their nature.

With her suggestion, we capture a ratman and starve it for a week, and cuts its claws to make it the student's training partner.

The students learned a lot from Miya and their training partner, some student even use their coat as if they are matador fighting against a bull.

By the end of the month, every student can fight one on one against the rat with this technique they call the flag technique. The non-human can even beat it in under five minutes which is very impressive considering they don't have many Shards.

Ratman is the weakest creature he has met so far so they are the best training partner for children.

Sol expects them to finish their monthly test with ease, this month test is for a group of five students to fight against five ratman which they can already do.

The day before the test, a group from the military brings a giant metal box. It is filled with ratman, they sent around 50 ratman so we have spare if some of them died on the way.

On the day of the test, people from the temple of Minerva have sent twelve adult predators as a protector for the students.

Sol brings Miya with him, they wear a white hooded coat like the students, Sol has his knife with him as well.

While the protector with leather armor looks at them oddly they don't say anything.

The school had prepared light swords for the students so they can do their best without being hindered by a weapon that is too heavy.

The first team is two humans, one cat, dog, and bird. Sol gives them time to adapt to their new weapon.

When they are ready, he gives a cue to one of the protectors to open the door of the metal box. It will slide up and will be closed once five ratman comes out.

When it starts sliding up, Sol feels something is not right, once the door has opened half a meter from the ground he can see a long scaly body.

"Shit!!" Sol is alarmed. "Close the door!!!" he shouts.

"everyone covers your body with your coat!!! Start running to safety!!!" he instructs his students.

The protector who opens the door tries to closed it but the creature inside pushed it open with its giant body.

A black scaled giant python with a head as big as a working table emerges from the giant metal box.

While it is smaller than Nerodia was, Sol knows that they are not its match.

"The Fuck is this, my luck with snakes are the worst!" Sol feels depressed.
