Time is nothing but an illusion; it shapes and fits according to the emotional level of every living being that was what I was taught during one of my lessons with the elders.
I never truly understood the extent of what she referred to at the time, I could only understand that when I'm happy time seemed shorter and when I'm sad it seemed as though the day wouldn't go by fast enough.
However, I didn't know that when I choose to go through the motions and not pay attention to my surroundings time would move fast as well.
So you can imagine my surprise when I realized the sun had turned the sky a shade of red and orange alerting us of its descent about to give way for darkness to take over once more.
Most of my family members preferred the day and it confused me because at night it's not only cooler but the sky present millions of beautiful stars and a bright moon to gaze upon.
