Lauren blinked when she heard Gina speak, she couldn't believe that Gina was Spanish given the thick British accent when Gina spoke.
"I changed citizenship from England to Spain about seven years ago when I moved to Barcelona after my mother died. I moved to Barcelona on a mandate given by my mother to find my biological father. It's a bit complicated but that's how it is," said Gina quietly as she showed her passport to Lauren.
"No wonder your British accent is too thick to be Spanish, Gina."
Gina smiled. "Yes, because I was born and raised in England."
"But your Spanish is good too?"
"Because since childhood, my mother used to talk to me in Spanish, at school even my mother deliberately chose Spanish as an additional material that I had to learn. Even though outside of school I took Spanish courses."
