Yun Qingyan glanced at him with a flippant faint smile on her face, but that person still ended up swallowing his saliva along with everything he wanted to say.
Ever since Yun Qingyan went through that battle with Su Ling over Baili Qingxue, Yun Qingyan seemed to defy his previous knowledge of her and he figured it was best not to offend her.
"What's wrong?" Baili Qingxue asked in a cold and distant voice. He looked rather quizzically at Yun Qingyan.
Lin Wanyue put on a kind smile and walked over with a concerned expression on her face. "Qingyan, are you feeling tired? We've only been walking for about two hours, and if we stop to rest, we might not reach our destination before the sun goes down."
She then put on a rather perplexed expression as if she was in a terrible dilemma. "Qingyan, I know you don't have any Elemental Power and it's rather difficult for you to keep up with us, but we can't slow the entire team's progress because of you, so do you think you could hang in there for a while more?"
The rest of the team immediately looked at Yun Qingyan with a look of disgust. All the annoyance they had put aside because of her superb performance earlier started to grow again.
This woman was just a useless bum, so why on earth did she insist on coming along into the Forest of No Return?
She couldn't defeat any Magical Beasts and the rest had to spend additional energy to protect her. And now, the entire team was going to be delayed all because of her.
When Lin Wanyue noticed the annoyance towards Yun Qingyan on everyone else's faces, she felt her heart leap for joy and the concern on her face intensified.
Yun Qingyan looked at Lin Wanyue with a strange smile on her face. Those clear black eyes of hers were so clear and unclouded, it seemed as though there was no way of hiding any scheming thoughts inside.
Lin Wanyue's expression stiffened slightly, then she quickly adjusted her expression again. "Qingyan?"
Yun Qingyan looked away and didn't bother looking at Lin Wanyue again as she continued walking on.
She had lived for so many years. Of course, she knew what Lin Wanyue was trying to do.
Lin Wanyue was clearly pretending to be concerned so that the others would hate Yun Qingyan. This way, Lin Wanyue would be able to intensify her image of being a gentle and kind person, and secondly, she would also be able to intensify Yun Qingyan's image of being a useless bum who burdened everyone else and would become even more of an eyesore than before.
But Yun Qingyan didn't have the time to bother about Lin Wanyue's dirty tactics.

Everyone looked in the directions that Yun Qingyan was pointing to and found that it was true that the ground they were standing on had several footprints belonging to Magical Beasts that crossed each other.
Just a short distance away, where a few large trees blocked a small stream, there were no more footprints.

Lin Wanyue had been noticing Baili Qingxue's expression all this while and her heart tightened. What was Yun Qingyan up to again?

Before Lin Wanyue said anything, an impatient young man stood up for her. "Yun Qingyan, if you can't walk anymore and you want to rest, just say so? What stupid story are you making up? Both Senior Wanyue and Senior Qingxue are geniuses who have been part of the Magical Beast Hunting Competition before, so did you think a useless bum like you would know better than them?"
With that, he arrogantly walked ahead and held his arms out as he walked in the direction of the small stream. He spun around and said to everyone, "Hahaha! I knew that Yun Qingyan was just being silly and making things up! There's no danger…"
