Du Lai stared at Bai Youwei's retreating figure in a daze.
A man beside him threw an arm over his shoulder and chuckled, "Du Lai, I remember you had a couple of puzzle pieces in your possession, didn't you?"
Du Lai blinked and then laughed, "Yes, but I thought they were useless after I used them, so I donated them to the organization."
"You donated?" The man seemed taken aback and wore a skeptical expression, "Both puzzle pieces were donated?"
"I had no choice but to donate." Du Lai forced a bitter smile, "As you know, I was severely injured when I managed to make it out of that hide-and-seek game. I used up all my tools and had to donate the puzzle pieces in exchange for medical supplies."
The man listened with a mixture of belief and doubt, "Is that so...?"
"That's the situation." Du Lai gave a casual laugh and gently shrugged off his arm, "I still need to find my claw machine partner, so I'll chat with you later~"
