Jiang Mingyue looked puzzled. The Life Science and Biotechnology laboratories were on the third floor of the building. She was a Bioinformatics freshman. What was she doing here?
Just as she was wondering, the silhouette vanished at the end of the corridor.
She was so preoccupied that she did not even hear what Mu Qing said over the phone.
After Jiang Mingyue snapped out of her shock, she cleared her throat and walked over to the other end of the corridor as she asked over the phone. "Mu Qing, what did you just say? I think there is a bad signal at the lab, so I did not catch you."
Mu Qing did not think otherwise. He simply answered. "I am busy tonight, so I can't have dinner with you. Sorry about it."
