Shangguan Hou was briefly stunned. He did not expect King to suddenly talk about the key. However, he quickly gathered his thoughts, straightened his back, and replied. "I made some headway. Please give me a little more time."
King frowned looking at Shangguan Hou in displeasure. "This is taking far too long."
Shangguan Hou lowered his head and no one was able to see the look in his eyes. "I will get it as soon as possible."
King glanced at him again. "Only the people from the Shangguan clan know how to activate the time travel tunnel. After all these years, I hope you won't disappoint me."
"I understand," replied Shangguan Hou softly.
King did not harp on the subject. He stopped looking at Shangguan Hou. "I have something to do, so I won't be coming to the base for a while."
The people in the meeting room were already accustomed to King leaving the base periodically, so no one raised any questions about it.
