Chapter 50 - Saved the Future Best Actress

Sunday morning…

Yun Hua woke up at five as usual.

She had already memorized all the words from first grade to third grade. She was now starting to memorize texts and sentences.

When she woke up, her mother was still asleep.

Last night, the mother-daughter duo was supposed to clear Yun Congjun's belongings together, but Yun Hua had only worked for a while before Jiang Huanqing chased her back to her room and asked her to study or read books.

Yun Hua tip-toed out of the house quietly and did not startle Jiang Huanqing.

After experiencing the whole commotion the day before, Jiang Huanqing must have been considerably exhausted.

It was early in the morning, and Yun Hua did not want to go to school and run laps, so she went to the nearby Jiangxi Park instead.

Many elderly women and men were exercising.

While running on the soil-like track by the river, Yun Hua kept memorizing her texts repeatedly. It was not enough to remember the texts and used words only. She also had to understand every single word in the sentence and know their function so that she would know how to use those words in other sentences.

There was a very big lake in the park, and above it was a bamboo bridge. At this time, the park's management was not very strict, so the bamboo bridge was already very old.

When Yun Hua almost reached the floating bridge, she suddenly heard a scream.

Someone was calling for help!

She immediately surveyed her surroundings, but she did not see anyone.

Was she hearing things?

Just as she was about to continue her run, she suddenly saw someone bobbing up and down in the water under the bamboo bridge.

Someone had fallen into the water.

Yun Hua was taken aback. She looked around and realized that she had to go around a big bend before she could get to the floating bridge. Thus, she clenched her teeth, took off her shoes, and directly jumped into the lake.

Swimming directly in a straight-line towards the person was much shorter than the alternative route.

It was already the start of autumn in September.

Even though July was described as a hot month, the autumn tiger was formidable, not to mention the fact that lake water in the early morning was still very cold.

Once Yun Hua jumped into the water, chills ran throughout her entire body. The feeling of her sweat—which accumulated throughout her run—meeting with the icy, cold water made her feel great.

In the water, Yun Hua quickly extended her body and swam towards the bridge.

Her speed was very fast.

By the time she was underneath the bridge, the person in the water was losing their breath.

Yun Hua quickly grabbed onto the other party. However, the other party was on the verge of death and had already lost her senses. The other party only had their basic survival instincts left.

Yun Hua grabbed onto the other party, but the latter instinctively pressed Yun Hua down in order to keep her head above the water.

Many people who saved drowning victims were dragged to death by them.

Even if Yun Hua was long prepared, she had gulped down a few mouthfuls of water.

Hence when talking about saving drowning victims, an unconscious one was much better than a struggling one.

Yun Hua dragged the other party up to land.

"Urgh—ahem, ahem…" The other party vomited quite a bit of water as her chest rose and fell rapidly.

Yun Hua also gasped for air.

"T-thank… you." The girl finally caught her breath and thanked Yun Hua, even though her voice was still hoarse, and her soul still shaken.

Yun Hua shook her head. "You're welcome. However, that bamboo bridge is so old. Why did you run there so early in the morning?"

There was something else Yun Hua did not mention—it looked like she was committing suicide.

The girl looked up at Yun Hua; she was on the verge of tears. "I lost the relic my father left behind."

When Yun Hua saw the girl's face, she was stunned.

Shen Shiying?

This girl… is Shen Shiying?

Oh my. Shen Shiying was one of the best international actresses in the future! However, what broke her millions of fans' hearts was that she committed suicide the night she won the best actress award when she was 26.

This was because she had depression all along. However, she looked like she was living lavishly on the surface; the public and her fans only saw her glorious moments. Nobody knew that her heart had long been inflicted with numerous wounds and hurt.
