Chapter 2 - Maybe this life isn't that bad

"Dang it man did he really have to make me be conscious throughout the nine months in the womb?

"My child did you know I can still hear you right"

"Ahahah you know I was only joking who wouldn't want to be given a chance to witness the birthing process up close" I said as I laughed nervously.

"Its Okay no need to be formal I will guide you through your journey in becoming the hero of this world so no need to be worried."

"Of course of course you're so kind"

"Not like you basically forced me into doing this" I said under my breath

A few years passed. I was born to the imperial family, the family that ruled over all the land I was, as i was named in my previous life, Tsun. Born to the Garrison family. Presently I am six years old learning basic magic from a tutor my family hired. I was also learning swordsmanship from my father, Isac Garrison, the patriarch of the Garrison family.

"Tsun, tsun its time to rise and shine, its almost time for breakfast. And the tutor is waiting for you after breakfast so you have to hurry now"

"Mmmppph what? Its already morning? It feels like one second passed, I'm so sleepy five more minutes please. " I said while slurring my words due to being sleepy.

"No Tsun, you're already running late get up out of bed young man. As the next heir to the family you should learn punctuality." she said sternly

"Okay, okay I'm getting up."

I reluctantly got up and walked lazily to the bathroom to freshen up, you know the regular. A few minutes later I hurried downstairs to have breakfast.

"Haaah being an only child sitting around such a big table, my family sure is boujee." I uttered to my self before ravenously devouring my breakfast.

"Sensei sorry for being late I was ahhh.... held up hahah" I said nervously

"You know the drill one thousand *arm thrusts for being late"

*a punishment which replicates the action of pushups

"One thousand!!!! What happened to the usual, you know one hundred?!"

"Wow it's nice to see my student so full of vigor today. What was that you want more? No problem give me ten thousand arm thrusts" she said with a devilish smile on her face.

"Senseiiiii!!!!"

"So today I will be teaching you a new spell watch carefully I will only do it once."

"Come to me elements" said my teacher, those word invoked a spell which enabled her to have have control of the five elements: water, fire, wind, earth and light.

"Tsun make sure you are paying attention this spell is a mid level and can only be mastered through earnest pract-"

Before she could finish I repeated the exact words and produced six elements of a stronger degree which were: water, fire, earth, wind, light, and darkness.

"So this is what i do? I thought it would be more difficult than this"

"Tsun don't lose concentration even a minor error could have devastating resu-" shouted sensei. But she was a second too late, I was distracted and the elements spiraled out of control and detonated.

"Ughh nooo!!"

"Huh? Why doesn't it hurt? I truly am lucky in this life" I said pridefully to myself

"Really my child I left for a couple years and you already almost killed yourself"

When I have looked around the explosion was still in the midst of exploding and it seemed time had suddenly stopped.

"God? Well I.... ahhh was just practicing and lost control of a spell nothing major hehe.... he" I replied

"Nothing major!? If I hadn't stopped time you would be dead, haaah you know what never mind I'll just clean up this mess but in turn you must do something for me. Do you dare?"

"I mean a task or death? clearly I'll go with the task."

"Oh I forgot to tell you that this task entails you killing a world level beast, but you already said what you said no takes back hehe"

"I should have known but what else can I do?"

Before God left he explained the levels of beast in this world namely: minion class, soldier class, boss class, devil class, world class and lastly but definitely not least calamity class.

"Huh why aren't you dead? Oh well. I guess you learnt your lesson, never lose concentration when casting do you hear me?" She said with a stern face but was glad deep down on the inside.

"Yes sensei"
