This was a fight among the family's Pokemons, so Axel didn't want others to be heavily injured and ended the match.

When it went inside the small tornado, Pidgeotto sneakily used 'Wing Attack' on the ground. The power from the 'Wing Attack' and hitting the ground shattered the ice on its wings. This injured its wings further, but it held it in. By that time, it was already out of confusion. It then used 'Work Up' twice, which boosted its attack stat.

After preparing all of these, it attacked Slowpoke with maximum speed, utilizing two 'Agility' moves, two 'Work Up' boosts, and its best 'Aerial Ace' attack as the finishing move on the already injured Slowpoke. Pidgeotto flew near Axel happily, telling him that it had won the battle. Axel patted its head, praising its performance. If Pidgeotto had panicked at that time, Slowpoke might have won the battle, but it calmed itself and executed a good battle strategy. Pidgeotto had grown a lot, and Axel was proud of its progress.

"The battle of Common-rank Pokemon has ended, and Flappy has emerged as the victor. It will be awarded after the battle. Now, let's move on to the Uncommon-rank Pokémon battle. There are four Pokemons in this rank, and we will draw lots to determine the match ups," said Axel.

Axel and Agnes participated in drawing lots, and the battle sequence was announced.

Gyarados vs. Venusaur

Tauros vs. Absol

"The first battle will be between Gyarados and Venusaur. Please clear the stage for them," said Axel, and both Pokemon entered the battle arena. The size difference between them was massive, with Gyarados standing tall with a towering height, while Venusaur was more wide than tall.

Although Gyarados was a Water-type Pokemon, it was also a Flying-type Pokemon, so it was not weak to Grass-type moves. However, Venusaur was weak to both Ice-type and Flying-type attacks.

While Gyarados lacked any Flying-type moves to attack, it had access to moves like 'Icicle Spear' and 'Hail', which could be detrimental for Venusaur. Additionally, Gyarados had evolved earlier, giving it stronger stats compared to Venusaur. However, when it came to move pool and strategy, Venusaur had the advantage.

"The odds are not in favor of Venusaur. Let's see what happens," thought Axel.

"Let the battle begin!"

The battle commenced with a mighty roar from Gyarados. ROARRRRR….!!!

Having already used 'Intimidate,' Gyarados successfully lowered Venusaur's attack. Gyarados lunged forward, releasing a massive torrent of water from its mouth—a powerful 'Hydro Pump.'

Venusaur didn't waste any time and summoned two huge tree trunks from the ground to shield itself from the incoming 'Hydro Pump.' It utilized 'Frenzy Plant.' This gave Venusaur enough time to execute its own moves, starting with 'Sunny Day' to power itself up and create a 'Grassy Terrain.'

Gyarados wasn't one to sit idle either and responded by using 'Hail' and 'Rain Dance,' completely transforming the surroundings. One side of the sky became scorchingly sunny, with intense sunlight that even began to discomfort Axel's skin while the other side was cold and shivering.

Venusaur had trained in this move since its earlier stages, and though it hadn't reached level 40 yet, 'Sunny Day' was one of the first moves it had ever learned. The other side of the sky became a mix of hail and rain, with the two weather conditions colliding and creating friction.

Without wasting any time, Gyarados unleashed a 'Blizzard.' Given the presence of 'Hail,' the power of the move was immense. Venusaur, relying on its defensive moves rather than offensive ones, used 'Grass Pledge' to block the attack.

A column of grass shot toward the blizzard, although it couldn't block the entirety of the attack. Some parts of Venusaur's body started freezing, and Gyarados was now ready to use one of its signature moves, 'Outrage.'

Dragon-type energy enveloped Gyarados as it rapidly charged towards Venusaur. Agnes, biting her nails, anxiously asked, "Oh my god! What will Venusaur do now?" The battle was incredibly intense, and the changing surroundings added to the excitement.

Previous battles hadn't affected the surroundings or the sky, making this particular battle exceptionally stimulating. Despite recently evolving, Venusaur remained composed. It utilized 'Aromatherapy' to heal itself from being frozen, then attempted to use 'Vine Whip' on Gyarados' large body to halt its charge. Unfortunately, it couldn't stop the charging force.

BAMMMM...!

The charge struck Venusaur, sending it flying. Using 'Vine Whip' to regain control, Venusaur managed to land safely on the ground. However, Gyarados wasn't done with its 'Outrage' just yet.

Gyarados could execute the move three times before becoming confused, and Venusaur had to endure two more hits. The speed of the charge was so great that Gyarados appeared to be flying for a few seconds, resembling a legendary Eastern dragon from Chinese novels.

"Wohhh!" exclaimed Agnes, captivated by the spectacle.

The second hit from 'Outrage' landed on Venusaur, though its impact was slightly less than before. Since the first hit, Venusaur had realized it couldn't control Gyarados' charge. Therefore, it uprooted a tree using 'Vine Whip' and threw it toward the charging Gyarados.

Despite being unable to alter the course of the charge, the tree struck Gyarados directly in the face, inflicting some damage. However, Gyarados was still able to hit Venusaur and prepared to attack once more.

'Outrage' perfectly embodied the raging monster that Gyarados was. With its fierce nature and enhanced stats, the move had already taken its toll on Venusaur. Venusaur was bleeding from its face and one of its legs, while its face appeared swollen from the impact.

If Axel hadn't been confident that Venusaur could withstand the next hit, he would have halted the battle immediately. However, he knew Venusaur was sturdy enough to endure another round of 'Outrage.'

The next 'Outrage' unleashed by Gyarados was the most impressive Axel had ever seen. Instead of remaining grounded, Gyarados moved so swiftly through the air that it resembled a complete Eastern dragon from Chinese novels.

Ding!

Gyarados has learned a new move. Please name the new move.

---

This notification surprised Axel. He named the move 'Sky Walk.'

Gyarados had learned a new move during the battle, which was even faster than before. Surprisingly, Venusaur managed to dodge the attack.
