Chapter 251 - Immortal Arbok

A point-blank range 'Confusion' hit Arbok on the back of its head. 'Confusion' had greatly leveled up and Arbok was weak to psychic attacks. Arbok felt something had hit on its head and it could not make sense of its surroundings and just then a sharp spear made of ice hit on its body.

Alakazam added with 'Hyper beam'. Now Alakazam had not mastered 'Hyper beam' like 'Confusion' and 'Teleport' but it was 'Hyper beam' fired at a point blank range at the same point where 'Icicle spear' had struck it.

The blast was so huge that Axel could not see behind the dust and the explosion. Alakazam teleported near Axel and positioned itself. As the dust cleared Axel could see that Abra was bisected. Its head had separated from its body.

This was the easiest battle Axel had ever fought. He was about celebrate when he noticed something different. Slowly its body started to regenerate from its head and within a few seconds, it seemed like it was ready to fight again.

What was this sorcery? He knew that Arbok had fully mastered 'Shed skin' which heals the body by shedding. But this was not how it should have happened.

Axel knew that this must be its new move 'Regeneration'. But how was Arbok able to master such a move? It didn't have healing moves and abilities. Axel didn't have time to think about it. He knew that some resilient Arbok can only be killed after its head was destroyed. Maybe it was one of such Arbok but he still could not explain how it could learn 'Regeneration'.

The battle continued for the next 1 hour. No one was using super damaging moves. They were only trying to see who would start the main battle first.

Beedrill, Pilsowine, and Alakazam were getting tired. They didn't have the stamina of pseudo-king-ranked Pokemon. Axel knew that he had to finish it first but surprisingly it was Arbok that started with a big move.

Suddenly, it opened its mouth and a huge amount of purple poison came out of it.

It was 'Sludge wave'. Axel's eyes almost bulged out seeing the amount of liquid poison coming out of its mouth. The surrounding of 5-meter radius was filled with a wave of poison. Piloswine immediately backed off. It didn't want to be around the poison as but it was hit by the wave. It could not respond on time and now it was poisoned.

Alakazam was levitating and Beedrill was flying so they didn't have much problem but Axel knew that Piloswine was down for the count.

"Piloswine, use 'ice domain'" The surrounding changed yet again and now the place was too cold for Arbok. Chunks of ice were falling and it was now raining heavily.

Axel knew that Piloswine could not be in the battle for so long so he wanted it to damage Arbok as much as it could.

Piloswine was spamming 'Icicle spear' and Alakazam was using 'Focus blast'. Arbok didn't seem to have any way to dodge both of the attacks so it used the only move that could do the impossible.

It used 'Dig'.

It drilled the ground underneath it and went inside.

Axel had a big smile on his face. He was waiting for this movement.

"Piloswine use full power 'Earthquake'."

Arbok had only 2 weaknesses. Ground and Psychic. The earthquake was especially powerful when the enemy was using 'Dig'.

Piloswine stood up and smashed the ground. The ground started to vibrate and cracks started to form around the ground. Even Axel who was far away was affected by the impact and fell down.

The trees near Axel fell down and one of them was perfectly going to smash its head. The description was long but it didn't even take a second to happen. Axel knew that he could not dodge it and just closed his eyes hoping for the afterlife.

But the impact never arrived. When he opened his eyes he could see that the tree was floating in the air. Alakazam had saved him with 'Telekinesis'.

"Thanks, Light."

Alakazam nodded its head and concentrated on Arbok. It had come out immediately. Axel could see that it was seriously injured. Small injuries had accumulated for the past 4 hours and 'Earthquake' had completely crushed and deformed its body.

But Axel could see that it had started to heal and he could see that Piloswine was losing its health a lot faster than before. He could tell that the poison was not spreading too fast but it seemed to be very tired now. Like its life was being sucked out of its body.

'Is this poison damage transfer?', Axel thought and immediately called off Piloswine near him and used an antidote to heal it.

The poison was slowly leaving its body and Axel had told it to rest. Now only Beedrill and Alakazam were left.

Axel was right in his thought. 'Poison damage transfer' would suck the health of the enemy that Arbok had poisoned. It was a ridiculous move if it was used well.

Axel decided then and there that it would not kill this Arbok but capture it and maybe tame it in the future.

If he could not tame it, he would at least try to find out the reason for its 'Regeneration' and 'Poison damage transfer'. But the fact was, he was losing the battle and he didn't have the luxury to capture it.

To capture it, Axel had to decrease its stamina to the point that it could no longer move its body and doing so was very hard. It could not be injured cause of 'Regeneration'.

Arbok body started to heal immediately and within a few seconds, it was good as new. This was a broken Pokemon. However, Axel could see that it was huffing and puffing. He realized that the move 'Regeneration' took a lot out of it.

Axel desperately looked into Alakazam's stat

----

Ding!

Greater Telekinesis: 97% (learned)

---

Only 3% was left before it could rank up. Axel cursed himself for putting such a harsh condition for the rank up but he could not do anything right now.

Alakazam was doing okay but Beedrill was extremely tired and was injured too. It was the tank in this fight. Though, it had a huge defense cause of its move 'Resolve II', it had been tanking Arbok's attack for the past 4 hours.

'String armor' was not enough to defend against all the attacks that it had faced. He knew that Beedrill could not last long. So, he told it to use its ultimate attacks.

It didn't waste any time. Beedrill was ready…
