Chapter 240 - Grade A

A lieutenant must be in the zone at all times. That was why Axel only called Tory and not Hector. Hector was also busy with his work so he didn't want to disturb him.

If a commander had personally called all the zone commanders then it must be something big. If there was a normal message the commander would just call them and give them some instructions. The commander had done the same thing in the past 4 days. But now he had called all of the zone commanders personally this time.

Axel didn't have a good feeling about this.

Axel reached the mayor's office and greeted the receptionist. The receptionist then led him and his team to the meeting hall. It was the first meeting hall that Axel entered on the 2nd floor.

"Good morning everyone.", said Axel and started to take a seat.

"Good morning Axel.", said Salam politely.

After Axel, Tory, and Sam had taken their place, the meeting started.

"Since Axel is the last one to arrive, we would start our meeting. Our scouts had been busy, for the past 4 days. During their search, they had discovered something very important. It is a serious matter."

"What is it?", asked Rocky.

"At first we thought that it was a grade B low-level Pokemon tide. However, we were wrong all along. It is now estimated that it would be a grade A low-level Pokemon tide."

"What are you sure about this?"

"Yes, I am."

"Why didn't we know about this before?"

"This is going to be a disaster."

###

Everyone started to rant. It was not a small matter. Pokemon tides had many levels. They were classified as:

1. Low-level

2. Mid-level

3. High-level

4. Disastrous level

5. Apocalypse level

Tide was called low level when the strongest Pokemon was from rare rank to elemental rank. In mid-level, the strongest Pokemon could be from Pseudo-king rank to King rank. At a high level, the strongest Pokemon would be a pseudo-champion rank. In the disastrous level, the strongest Pokemon would be Champion rank and in the apocalypse level, the strongest Pokemon would be in master rank.

Every level had 3 grades. A, B, and C. C would have the least threat level while A would have the highest threat level.

For example, in low-level tide, grade C would only have 1 elemental ranked Pokemon and a total size of ten thousand Pokemon to fight.

Grade B would have multiple elemental rank Pokemons and the total size would be a hundred thousand.

However, Grade A would have multiple elemental ranks Pokemons. It may also have a newly ranked up Pseudo-king rank Pokemon, though the chances were very low. However, the total size of the Pokemons may be up to a million.

That was why everyone was ranting.

###

"Salam, what about the reinforcement? Did the league say anything about it?", asked Axel as he was the calmest person there.

"I have already talked to the league. They said that we could get help from Cornor town as it is close to us. They would not be able to send us other reinforcement as there is very less time.", replied Salam.

"How many reinforcements are we talking about from Cornor town?"

"Around 60,000"

"Only?"

"Well, they can't send their full force for us. They are only sending 40% of their force for our help. They would reach us in 3 days."

Everyone sighed. They didn't know how many soldiers they would lose.

Even with Cornor town's help, they would have a total force of 218,000 armed troops and they would be facing 1,000,000 Pokemons on the tide.

Obviously, each soldier would have multiple Pokemons but not every one of them was rich and genius like Axel. Normally cadets and sergeants would only have 2 Pokemons on average and captains and lieutenants would have 6-7 Pokemons on average. So, that was a total of 445,000 Pokemons against 1,000,000 Pokemons.

The odds were not in their favor.

Axel was starting to have a headache. He would be facing around 250,000 Pokemons around 44,000 troops and 89,000 Pokemons. Would they even survive?

It was a hard thing to tell.

"I know that we are late but can't we tell the league that we would hold our base till their reinforcement arrives?", asked Axel.

"We could do that. However, it would normally take 20 days for the reinforcement to arrive. The tide may already be over at that time.", replied Salam.

Everyone started to give their own opinions. They knew that they were fighting a losing battle. Even if they won, almost all of the troops would die.

"SILENCE!!! I know that we are fighting a losing battle. But we are soldiers. There are a million citizens in this town and I vowed to protect them. We would deal with this tide one way or the other. Now, if any of you have any suggestions, you can speak up. I am open to it.", said Salam.

The room got silent. Nobody knew what to say but it was not silent for long.

"Actually, I may have an idea.", said Axel.

"Yes, Axel. Please speak. I am open to ideas."

Axel then started to say about the strategy that he had made for his zone. At first, he didn't want to tell them cause even he didn't know about its consequences. He was using the strategy for the first time. However, after seeing the current situation he thought to tell them about it.

All of them were surprised by Axel's strategy. But they were also confused if they should apply it. It was perfect in theory but it was not tested. They could not risk the lives of their soldiers based on a theory.
