Gyarados was taking a rest after using all those high-powered moves. It was already on its limit. As the dust settled, Venusaur looked completely different. Not only it had recovered almost all of its injuries but it also looked bigger than before. Suddenly purple colored and yellow colored dust started to arise in the air.

Venusaur had also used the move 'Multi flowers' near Gyarados but due to the rain, the effect of those was not so good. Axel could tell that it had used the move 'Restore' and 'Synthesis' another time to recover so much of its health but it was also very tired.

Even though it could heal multiple times, it could not restore stamina. That would take time. Axel could also tell that it had used the move 'Growth' to enhance its already broken capabilities. Now, its defense, health, and stamina had also been restored a bit.

Ding!

Due to continuous battle, Venusaur's special attack has risen to B rank

Ding!

Venusaur's special defense has risen to B rank

Ding!

Venusaur's defense has risen to B rank

Ding!

Venusaur had started to rank up to tier 2 of king rank.

 ---

All the pressure from the battle had forced it to rank up to tier 2. This was the battle that it needed to rise up to tier 2.

Since it was a rank-up, Gyarados could not interfere but it could prepare for the next round. It used the move 'Dragon dance' 2 more times to increase its speed and attack stat and then it used 'Rain dance' again as the rain was starting to slow down.

If there was any other Pokemon except for Gyarados, that Pokemon might have already given up for this battle. Venusaur was now ranking up the tier again and getting more powerful. Since it had ranked up a tier, it could all the moves that were in cool down. So, it was practically unkillable now. But Gyarados was not going to give up. It wanted to show its progress to Axel and the team and tell them how powerful it had become.

After the rank-up process was completed, Venusaur looked Gyarados right in the eye and asked, "Do you still want to continue?"

"Do you think that I am scared just cause you ranked up a tier? Don't be delusional."

ROOOARRR

Gyarados gave a huge roar and then the rain that was pouring down started to rage with extreme force.

 ---

Ding!

Gyarados has created a new move. A pre-domain move. Please name the move.

 ---

Axel was struck by the luck of Gyarados. Till now it had not created a pre-domain move. Now, a Pokemon didn't need a pre-domain move to move to king rank but the Pokemon's stats and mastery of the moves must be very high in order to by pass this requirement.

Gyarados fell into that category. But now it had created its pre-domain move. This was going to be fun. Axel knew that Gyarados was not going to win this battle as Venusaur had just ranked up but it had also not given up.

"Name is 'Water rage'"

---

Ding!

The move has been named.

Ding!

Water rage: Creates a storm of water that it could manipulate with it own desire. The speed of Gyarados, its attack power, and its water type moves would get a massive boost while using this move. Can affect an area of 20 meters around it (concentrated)

---

It was a pretty powerful move even for a pre-domain move. If the move was leveled up past 40, then it could do some real damage.

Venusaur also used its pre-domain move. 'Deep forest emergence' came and 30 meters around it was now covered in trees, grasses, and flowers. Those flowers started to bud and then the move 'Multi flowers' was also used instantly.

The vines and branches of those trees moved as if it was alive and went to grab Gyarados. But, since Gyarados's speed had massively increased it was able to dodge all those moving branches and vines and it sent out a powerful 'Hydro pump'.

This move was blocked by Venusaur's 'Field control' and 'Deep forest emergence' and Venusaur also used 'Solar beam' which was canceled with Gyarados's 'Hydro pump'.

The battle was fierce. Gyarados was able to get one 'Outrage' and hit 'Venusaur' in the face with it but Venusaur was able to heal it back up with 'Synthesis'.

Finally, Gyarados created some distance and then it looked at the sky above. The already darkened sky looked even more dark and by this time, the effect of 'Sunny day' had expired. It looked as if the apocalypse had arrived.

Lightning could be seen from the sky above.

ROOOARRR

Gyarados gave a massive roar to the sky and then looked at Venusaur. Venusaur instantly knew that this was going to be the last stand for Gyarados. So, it used all of its moves to create a defensive wall all around it. It had to survive this hit.

Lightning and thunder raged on the sky and then suddenly all the water that was coming from the rain stopped. Actually, it didn't stop but it looked like it was struck in the sky as if time had paused for all the water coming from the rain.

The yellow colored thunders came from the sky and all of them hit the water that was paused in the sky. It looked like Gyarados could not hold for so long as 50% of the water which didn't have any contact with multiple thunders in the sky immediately changed the direction and then hit Venusaur.

BANG!

BANG!!

BANG!!!

BANG!! X 200

It sounded as if someone had fired multiple machine guns at the same time. Axel had to forcefully close his ears to save his hearing ability and then those thunders which had mixed with the water droplets started to rain down.

That mixture looked very beautiful with yellow light sparkling but Axel knew that this was going to be very destructive.

All of them were released at the same time towards Venusaur.

BOOM

BOOM

BOOOM

BOOOM

BOOOM

The ground started to shake from those multiple explosion. Now, Venusaur was neither weak to electric type attack nor weak to water type attack but the magnitude of this attack was so high that Axel was also worried about Venusaur.

 ---

Ding!

Gyarados has leveled up 'Thunder' to level 55. Now, with the help 'Water rage', 'Rain dance' and 'Water manipulation', the user can create uncountable thunder rays to strike the opponent. The amount of thunder rays would depend on the user's stamina.

 ---

The dust and debris took 4 minutes to completely clear. Gyarados also didn't take any action now cause it was totally spent. It was only standing to see if Venusaur had fainted or not.

To its disappointment, Venusaur had not fainted but it was not in a very good condition. Its stamina was spent and it still had some injuries all over its body. It didn't have a scratch on its body and looked like it was able to heal itself but it had to sacrifice a lot of stamina to do it. Venusaur really was an unkillable Pokemon.

"STOP!! THE BATTLE IS OVER!!", shouted Axel to end this battle. They were just battling to show their skills. This was enough.

Venusaur had ranked up to tier 2 and Gyarados had created a pre-domain move and also upgraded one of its move. It was already enough.

When Axel said to stop, Gyarados slammed its body to the ground to rest. Venusaur also gave a long sigh and started to recover itself.

"I must say, Axel, you have done a really good job in training them. This didn't look like a fight between tier 1 king-rank Pokemons but a fight between peak tier 2 king-rank Pokemons.", commented Blue.

"Thanks, but they still need to learn a lot.", said Axel with a smile.

Who would not be happy if someone like Blue said good about their Pokemons? Axel was also no exception.

Axel took some potions and healed Gyarados. It would take some time for it to be battle-ready but it was not seriously injured. It was just a friendly fight.

He had a lot of thinking to do. Gyarados didn't have any defensive moves or any sort of healing moves. He needed to think about it and try to come up with something that could sustain it in the long run.

However, there was a problem with this issue. Except for 'Protect', it didn't have any defensive type moves, and 'Protect' was very restrictive. First of all, the user cannot move much while using this move. Secondly, if used once, it becomes difficult to use it again. Gyarados's specialty was speed and attack. So, this move was not appropriate for it.

"Can it learn 'Aqua ring'?", thought Axel.

Normally, it could not learn it but with 'Water manipulation', it might. 'Life dew' was another example but just like 'Draco meteor', the learning restriction of this move was very high.

"Sigh, it looks like I will have to think of a move for it.", sighed Axel.

Gyarados had rock-type hidden mastery. So, he could invent a new move regarding it but that would take a lot of time cause rock was not its primary typing and its hidden typing mastery was not so high. But even if it took a lot of time to get this move, Axel had patience for it.

For the healing type move, water typing was the perfect example.

"Blue, what do you think about Gyarados and Venusaur? Where do you think that they lack?", asked Axel.

"I think that your Pokemons don't have a good amount of experience in tide battles and one on one battles. You have trained them very well but there are something that could only be learned by experience.

If you want to take my advice, you should participate in a lot of tide battles. It is not that your Pokemons would be at actual risk if Red and I support you.

Now, for Gyarados. Since it had been training in the wild for some time, it had gained some amount of experience and it is relatively better than Venusaur. But the problem is that it is like a glass cannon. If Gyarados had some defensive and healing-type moves, then it would have lasted even more.

Don't get me wrong, your Gyarados is very powerful compared to another tier 1 king rank Gyarados. Its moves are very creative and its stats are unusually very high but if you want to improve then you should get one defensive and healing-type move for it.

For Venusaur, it is quite a tank and can take so many hits. Even I am surprised by this development. I will be honest. I have never seen such a tanky Venusaur in my entire life.

I don't have many things to say about it cause you have done a good job on it. The only thing that you might lack is an active defensive move and some fast special attack moves.

Using 'Field control' and 'Frenzy plant' for defense is quite stupid cause it would consume a lot of stamina. Another thing is its lack of experience."
