"3 tide battles would not be profitable for the whole team. I believe that we should do more. I can promise you that I would at least try to attend 5 tide battles in a year.", said Axel.
"Sir, we believe that 3 tide battles would be enough to live a comfortable life for the whole team. 5 would be better. Do you have anything to add?", asked Hector.
"Lots of things but I would speak that to the whole team. Gather them around. I want to speak with all of them.", said Axel.
Hector, Troy, and Sam started to discipline the soldiers to stay in an orderly manner. The warehouse was huge and it could comfortably fit 6 thousand soldiers.
Axel walked up to the stage and the crowd started to cheer his name. He raised his hand and all of them stopped and now there was a pin-drop silence.
"I didn't know about the secret group but I am happy that so many of you have decided to believe in me and join me.
There are around 6,000 of us and all of you want to be a part of my team. Some of you may feel safe with my leadership, some of you want to become stronger or maybe some of you want to earn a lot of money. All of you have your desires and agendas.
I respect all of it.
Hector gave me a rundown of all the things that we need to become a 'Mercenary' team. We will complete that in a few months.
However, even after we get the title, we will not be going on tides until I tell you that all of you are ready for the tide.
Before you were the soldiers of the league now you are part of my team. And my team members would not be weak."
"HOOAHH!!!", shouted all the soldiers.
"They would not be dying on the battlefield."
"HOOAHHH!!!"
"They would be the strongest mercenary team in the whole wide world."
"HHOOOAHHHH!!!"
"That is why, I would be personally training all of you. I will make training plans for all of you and I will have some serious requirements for all of you.
You are not the soldiers of the league from now on. You will be part of my family and I don't want any of you to be weak. You will sweat more in training so that you will not bleed in tides.
We will be the strongest mercenary team in the whole wide world!!!!"
"HOOOAHH!!!"
"HOOOAHH!!!"
"HOOOAHH!!!"
"Good, wait for further instructions.", said Axel and came to the office.
He called the usual party and asked.
"Tell me all of your stats. How many pseudo-king rank Pokemon do you have and call the other 4 possible lieutenants.", said Axel.
"I have 6 pseudo-king rank Pokemons. Sam and Troy have 4 pseudo-king rank Pokemons.
The 4 possible lieutenants are:
1. Mary the fire type specialist
2. Kane the fighting type specialist
3. Alon the ghost type specialist
4. And Dornton the healing specialist.
You have met and talked with all of them on a personal level. I also interviewed them extensively. They will arrive in a few minutes."
"Good, so who had not fulfilled the conditions?", asked Axel.
"Alon and Dornton. Both of them have 2 pseudo-king rank Pokemons. They are training the third one."
"OK, call each of them one by one for the interview. Leave Alon and Dornton for now. I will talk with them after talking with Mary and Kane.", said Axel.
###
Axel talked for an hour each with Mary and Kane. He started with a short introduction and asked them about their family lives and why they wanted to be a part of his team.
He also asked how they were training their Pokemons. He also advised and corrected their training methods.
Mary was a fire-type specialist. That didn't mean that she only had fire-type Pokemons. She had 6 Pokemons in her team and 3 of them were fire-type Pokemons.
Among the 3, 2 of them had reached pseudo-king rank status. Axel was well versed on fire-type Pokemons cause he had one on his team. He was able to guide Mary more thoroughly than Kane.
###
After completing the interview with Mary and Kane, he asked for Alon. Alon was a ghost type specialist and it was an important position in his team. Alon controlled the night watches.
Ghost type Pokemons were abundant during night time and Alon had to be responsible during nighttime. He had talked and fought with Alon at night time so he knew Alon's nature.
Alon was quick on his feet. He worked like an assassin. He had 4 Pokemon who were ghost type and the rest of them were dark types who were also powerful against ghost types.
Axel talked to Alon and he was surprised when he learned that Alon had also caught a Shedinja.
"Why did you catch it? You know how hard it is to train a Shedinja and you also must realize that my Shedinja is very special."
"I know but I could not ignore the benefits. If I could properly let it master its ability, then it would be an overpowered Pokemon. Right now, it is just an elemental rank Pokemon and I am training it to be a pseudo-king rank Pokemon.
However, I believe that Krookodile may take the lead and become a pseudo-king rank."
"I will help your Shedinja personally till it becomes a pseudo-king rank Pokemon. I cannot help your Krookodile cause I don't have one in my team and it would be unfair to Dornton if I help 2 of your Pokemons."
"That is acceptable."
"Remember, I am only helping you this one time. If you want any help with the training, you would have to work hard for it. Don't worry, I would make a system for all this."
Axel then called out Dornton and asked him about his training plans and his Pokemons.
Dornton was the head of the healing department. Recently he had caught a Bulbasaur by going through an extensive process. He caught it after he saw the power of Venusaur. He quickly started to train it and it had recently ranked up to elemental rank.
It would take some time to reach pseudo-king rank but he had other Pokemons that could reach pseudo-king rank after some months.
"Dornton, you are more knowledgeable about the healing department than me. However, I could help you in training your Venusaur. I will give you some training tips as I also have one of them.
I want one of your Pokemons to reach pseudo-king rank as fast as you can. If you need any resources, do tell me. I will arrange it."
"Thank you, sir. I will complete it in 2 months.", said Dornton and went outside to train his Pokemons.
He then called Hector, Troy, Sam, and Ashmita.
"There are around 6434 soldiers except for Ashmita. I plan to make a specific training plan for all of them. I know it would be hard but we have to complete it in 7 days before round round-robin starts.", said Axel.
"Sir, I want to train too.", said Ashmita immediately. Axel looked at her and he knew that she was serious. She had never shown any interest in training her Pokemons or fighting with it. So, Axel had excluded her from the training plans.
However, seeing such a determination, he thought to help her too.
"Sir, we have over 6,000 soldiers and almost all of them have around 6 Pokemons each. That was one of the rules that I came up with. So, we have to make training plans for 36,000 Pokemons.
I don't think that we could do that in 7 days.", said Troy.
"If we were to make a training plan for every Pokemon, that would indeed be impossible. However, I am not talking about advanced training plans.", said Axel.
"Sir, if you are talking about basic training plans then that would be the same for almost all of the Pokemons but you said about specific training plans for each of them.", said Troy again.
"You are right, Troy.
First, would be the basic training plans for the Pokemons. I have realized that my soldiers don't focus on training the stats of the Pokemons. That would hugely limit the Pokemon's potential and growth.
I know some things that are not public knowledge and I want my team to have a strong foundation. A strong foundation is necessary for Pokemons to reach higher stages in the future.
I would write a book about the importance of basic stats, ability and hidden ability, move comprehension and use of type-enhancing items, and many more.
These knowledge are personally observed and experienced by me and I want my soldiers to be aware of it.
Next would be desires and intuition. These things are also very important to know if you want to raise your Pokemon to a high level. The desires and instincts of a Pokemon would be different for every Pokemon species. I want to know the names of all the Pokemon species that our team has.
I hope that it will not be a lot."
Hector, Troy, Sam, and Ashmita had never heard of such things. They had some knowledge about the importance of basic stats and move comprehension but not about others.
"Before I start to write the books, I want all of my soldiers to sign a document saying that they would follow my every command, they would only be part of my team for the foreseeable future and I want utmost loyalty from them.", said Axel.
"Sir, is that really necessary? I know all these soldiers and they would die for you. They have sacrificed many things in their life to be a part of this team. I believe that we could fully trust them.", said Sam.
Sam didn't talk a lot but he always voiced his opinions when needed.
"It is necessary. The knowledge that I am about to give you all would be very vast. None of it is public knowledge and some of the things are personally discovered by me. So, no one in the world knows about it.
If I am prepared to give all this knowledge that I painstakingly collected over the years, then swearing loyalty to me would be the least they could do.", said Axel.
They didn't know how valuable the information really was but seeing how Axel was speaking, they could tell that it would be extremely valuable cause they knew that Axel would never lie to them.
Axel to teach a lot of things to his team. He had learned a lot from Giovanni and Red and now he was going to impart that knowledge. If he wanted to have a kick-ass team, he had to go the extra mile.
###
The desires and instinct of all the Pokemon species of this team was a huge challenge. Axel had to personally write all of them. For that to happen, he would have to research all of them.
He didn't know everything. He also asked for Oak's help on another trillion Poke dollars. Oak agreed but he said that Axel had to fulfill other conditions first. Axel was okay with it.
Oak didn't have any problem in giving a trillion Poke dollars to Axel. Oak was one of the richest people in the whole wide world. He was also the Pokemon master so he had no scarcity of resources.
After 7 days, Axel was finally able to complete all the training manuals for his soldiers. Ashmita also helped him a lot in this regard.
She was also learning a lot from Axel. That was one of the reasons why she signed up for it. She knew that Axel would become a figure that would be written in the history of this world and she wanted to have a closer look in it.
###
Axel wrote the book on:
1. Move comprehension
2. Ability and hidden ability and their importance.
3. A brief history of Pokemon, ancient Pokemon, legendary Pokemon, pseudo-legendary Pokemons.
4. Vitamins and type-enhancing items.
5. Body stats.
These were to be circulated to every member of his team. Axel also wrote a book on the importance of the human body, its potential, and how powerful humans were in ancient times.
He also introduced the concept of aura and psychics in the book. He told his team members to be very serious in training their own bodies.
Finally was the desires and instinct of the Pokemons. This was the one that took a lot of time for Axel to write. Axel had to write the desires and instincts of 524 Pokemon species. That was a lot. He had to ask Oak about them and research them.
Desires and instincts were the basics of how to raise a Pokemon. After his team members adapt to all these 6 things including desires and instincts, his team members would have a proper foundation on their Pokemon.
After that, they could start to develop their Pokemon themselves.
All of these took 7 days and now was the time for Round Robin.
