Chapter 338 - Gym battle: Magneton

Gogoat started with 'Field control,' 'Grassy terrain,' and 'Sunny day.' Alakazam had already told it what Axel said, and it followed without hesitation.

"Magneton, start with 'Electromagnetic terrain' and 'Electromagnetic wave,'" Morgan commanded.

The surrounding of the battle stadium changed instantly. The stadium turned green as grass sprouted all over the place. Then, a yellow-colored electric terrain was set up. Wide tree branches emerged from the ground and surrounded Gogoat.

Axel had already instructed Gogoat to use those moves, allowing it to use three moves while Magneton could only use two.

"Magneton, now use 'Electromagnetic construct'," shouted Morgan.

"Gogoat, use 'Grassy Glide'," said Axel.

This was a new move for Gogoat, allowing it to glide and increase its speed during 'Grassy terrain.'

At the moment, 'Grassy terrain' would only heal Gogoat and increase its defense due to its ability, but now it could also increase its speed. It had become a handy move for Gogoat.

When Morgan commanded the use of the new move, something amazing happened. A ring of electricity formed around Magneton, and daggers made of electric current appeared on the outer circle of the ring.

"NOW!" shouted Morgan, and the daggers moved toward Gogoat at high speed.

Gogoat used the power of 'Field control' to extend thick branches and block the attack.

BOOM!

Short explosions occurred after the collision. The attack was perfectly blocked. Thanks to 'Grassy terrain' and 'Field control,' Gogoat had not been paralyzed. That was good news.

"Gogoat, fire up 'Solar Beam'," Axel commanded.

Due to 'Sunny day,' Gogoat didn't need any time to charge and immediately fired the attack.

"Magneton, counter it with 'Charge Beam'," Morgan ordered.

Three beams of electricity emerged from each of Magneton's heads, combining to form a bigger beam. It was fired toward the 'Solar Beam.'

Both moves countered each other, but 'Charge Beam' came out on top. Gogoat had to use 'Grassy Glide' to dodge the attack.

Gogoat took the opportunity to come near Magneton and hit it with 'Horn Leech.' The attack connected, and Magneton was sent flying back but managed to hold itself.

'Horn Leech' was a grass-type attack that allowed the user to recover some of the drained HP.

'Electromagnetic terrain' not only increased the power of electric moves but also increased the user's speed. This was why Magneton was able to overcome Gogoat's 'Solar Beam.'

Taking some time, Gogoat used 'Growth,' which boosted its attack and special attack. The move's power was increased due to 'Sunny day.'

Gogoat backed off and took its position.

"Magneton, now use it with 'Gravity manipulation'," said Morgan.

Magneton used 'Electromagnetic construct,' and a ring of electricity appeared with daggers on the outside. It then threw the daggers, but this time, they moved at a much higher speed.

Gogoat didn't expect them to be so fast and was hit by three of the six daggers. It managed to block the other three with 'Field control.' It was hurt now.

"Gogoat, use 'Bullet Seed'," Axel commanded.

'Bullet Seed' didn't require Gogoat to be in close proximity. It hit Magneton with the attack. Some of it was dodged, but some of the seeds hit their target.

Axel then commanded the use of 'Grass Pledge' and 'Razor Leaf,' while Magneton countered with 'Charge Beam.'

They continued to use their respective attacks. The battle lasted for five more minutes. Both were hit and injured, but Magneton was more injured than Gogoat.

The battle seemed to be in Axel's favor, but the tables turned immediately.

"Magneton, use 'Magnet Healing,'" Morgan commanded.

Having used 'Magnet Rise' earlier, Magneton had gathered magnetic properties around it. When it used 'Magnet Healing,' those properties started to be consumed, allowing Magneton to heal.

It didn't heal 100% of its HP, but it was now in better condition than Gogoat. Both of their stamina levels were low, but it looked like Gogoat was going to lose.

"Gogoat, try to use 'Milk Drink' on yourself," said Axel.

'Milk Drink' was a move that could increase the user's HP and the HP of other allies, but in real life, it could only heal the life of its allies. The ally had to literally drink the milk from Gogoat to start healing itself.

So, Gogoat couldn't drink its own milk while in battle. However, Axel had been trying to level it up to 40 by using the milk to heal Gogoat's HP too.

He had been trying it for two months, but it had not been successful. How could Gogoat drink its own milk in battle?

So, Axel theorized that Gogoat should be able to control its own internal organs and consume the milk from inside. It was very difficult to do, and Axel didn't even know if it was possible.

Seeing that Gogoat was injured now, he wanted it to try again.

Gogoat closed its eyes and started to control its internal organs to consume the milk from inside. It was halfway there, but it couldn't complete the process. It had failed.

"It's okay, try to defend using 'Field control' and 'Frenzy Plant,' and then use 'Milk Drink'," said Axel.

After a couple of tries, Gogoat had been hit twice, and its HP was decreasing, but finally...

---

Ding!

Gogoat's Milk Drink has leveled up to 40. It can now heal itself too.

---

With this, Gogoat was able to heal itself and recover some HP. It immediately used 'Grassy Glide' to increase its speed and approached Magneton. Morgan, thinking that Gogoat would use 'Horn Leech' again, told Magneton to dodge using 'Gravity manipulation.'

But it was a feint. When Gogoat came near, it used 'Seed Bomb.' There was a mini explosion, and even though Magneton dodged the attack, the impact of the bomb hit it.

"Gogoat, now use 'Solar Beam'," shouted Axel, and a beam of yellow light hit Magneton. Being so close, Magneton couldn't defend or dodge and was hit by the attack.
