If we trace its lineage back to the source, we might find what we need to defeat it. The answer is buried in its past, not its present."
The Blue Sun frowned, skepticism creasing her brow. "That's a lot of 'ifs.'"
"I know," I admitted. "It's not a sure thing. But it's all we've got right now. And trust me, we don't have much time. The First Born's cells are reproducing at an alarming rate, even under the gravitational suppression. I give it ten years, max, before it breaks free. Then, we're back at square one."
