Kang's POV
"Phew. 5 hours straight on the place. Looks great." Stan was wiping off sweat of his forehead as he finishes painting the walls. I, on the other hand, was just finishing with lights. I climbed down off the ladder. It was already afternoon but damn, after all of the work and hot weather it's tiring. I wiped off my sweat and sighed. Stan looks at me with a smile. "Hm, that's new. Thought you were some grumpy old man." I sneered at him as I sat down on a small green stool. "Yes, because of the renovation and 5-hours hard labor. I'll give you an early leave." He pats my shoulder.
"Thanks." I got up, brushed the dust of my shirt and grabbed my bag from the counter, and I was on my way back home.
Bryan's POV
"Master." Sier bows to me. He was carrying a fancy-looking envelope. "Here. It's a letter from the Vengers leader, Warner." He hands me the envelopes. I opened the lid slowly and carefully "Not another attempt to kill me, eh?" I opened the folded letter.
Dear Bryan Stefan Watson, The Leader of the SW Empire,
You are invited to the open ball of Mafias, hosted this year by Warner Venger, leader of the 3rd Mafia, Vengers. You are allowed to bring as many guest you want, as long it's not younger than 13 years old. Be aware, even a ball maybe a riot used against you. The ball is in the hotel in Tallahassee on 10th September.
By, Assistant Fenrir of The Vengers.
"A ball?" I fold it back and put into a drawer of mine. "Yes, but i'm worried about your safety sir, i suggest you to hold back.." Sier suggests me to hold back. I laughed "A king of the underworld holding back a life-risking ball? That's ridiculous!" I chuckled. "Tell Su Ge-jin, to get his people ready for next week." I ordered Sier to get his recruits. "Yes Master." He bowed to me once again, before leaving. I stood back up and left the building towards the parking lot.
I drove the Mercedes all the way to Alexie's school. I saw her waiting at the bus station near the school. "Hey Lex, how was your day?" I opened up the door beside me to her. "It was very bad. The other girls was bullying me and my friend, Molly." She was covering her bruised face. Sigh. "You know, next week, me, your dad and mommy is going to a party but you can't come.." Alexie's eyes was full of tears. She shed a tear. I wiped the tear of her cheek with my thumb.
"But, you can go to Phoenix next week." (Phoenix is where Lucy and Luke lives) I steer to the left side of the road slowly. "I don't have to go school?" Alexie asked me softly. "I'll talk to your teacher about it. I'm sure she'll give you a break. You're a clever little girl." I patted her with my left hand. Alexie gave me a smile.
"Mommy! Mommy! Papa said that I can go to Phoenix next week!" She jumped up and down while holding on the counter. "Huh? Why? Bryan?" She looked over to me, I was fixing up my glasses. "There's a ball in Tallahassee next week, but we can't bring kids." I explained.
Haru's POV
"What do you mean by "we"?" I asked him. "I was about to ask you and Kang to come with me as my guest." He stood by the counter. "So, when are you going to tell Kang?" I played with my hands. "Urmmm, later i guess." Bryan grins...
