Hearing the cries and shouts inside the room, Shankar could not control himself from going inside and checking on his dear wife.
He was the owner of the manor, and the magic of the manor identified him, so even though the door was shut from inside, it was not difficult for him to open it with a single push.
Entering inside, he found the room looked like it was in disarray. His wife was lying on the huge bed with a soft piece of cloth covering her. A small thing was lying above her, wiggling a little.
His joy could not be concealed.
However, at the same time, the midwives inside the room had also noticed his presence. They quickly scrambled aside. Yet, they looked quite worried to Shankar.
He furrowed his brows and asked, "What happened? Why were there shouts and yells instead of songs of joy?"
The midwives bowed to him and answered in a timid voice, "My lord, this child... he is not a normal child. He burned my hands!"
