As soon as the words left her mouth, Luo Li realised her mistake. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she covered her mouth with her hands.
Her only intention in meeting Mei Wei was to placate him a little. So he could at least hear Aman's side of the story.
However, during their conversation, Mei Wei agitated her so much with his accusations that she lost control of herself as she spilled Aman's secret.

The word hit Mei Wei like a boulder. He jumped over and quickly rushed
to Luo Li. He grabbed her by the shoulders and asked, "What did you say? Say it again!"
Luo Li shook her head violently. "I should not have said that. It's not my place to tell you. I am sorry."
But Mei Wei was not satisfied with this; he asked more angrily, "Tell me, did you say Aman has a husband?! He is married?!"
Luo Li put her hands down as she slowly nodded. Her voice was merely above a whisper: "Yes, he was. He was married."
