"Tracy come on!" I call as I walk down the stairs with my bag.
"I'm here," she says as she appears at the top of the stairs. "Did you ensure all the doors and windows are closed?"
"Yes, I checked twice. We should leave now before it gets too late." I said as she was walking out. I turned off the light and locked the door before heading to the car. Tracy had already turned on the engine and was waiting for me as I was placing my bag in the backseat. I get in the passenger seat and buckle my seat belt, with a last look at the house and a little prayer Tracy starts driving away.
"You told Jacob right?" She asks after driving for 10 minutes silently.
"Actually I didn't," I said. "If I told him he wouldn't have let me go."
Tracy doesn't say anything to that, one thing I like about her is that she never pressures anyone to say anything. I get my phone out of my pocket and turn it on going to the messages app, I text Lauren.
