Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

As the dust settled down, Taurus's form was finally revealed to Glass and the rest of the crowd whose eyes were unable to catch Taurus's form or hadn't seen him before. Towering above most people at seven foot nine inches, and a pair of horns -one broken and one perfectly fine- sticking out from the side of his head, he was the perfect specimen of a bull type beastman, his skin bulging with muscles and his blackeyes filled unbridled rage and bloodlust. Wearing only trousers, his bare torso and the scars that adorned it were exposed for all to see. Scanning the arena for his opponent, he spotted her by the walls of the arena, a savage grin spreading on his face as he made is way towards her.

Seeing him make his way towards her, Glass grabbed several throwing knives off the floor next to her and rapidly threw them at Taurus, only for them to be deflected by gusts of wind emanating from him. Seeing that the knives were useless against him, she frantically searched around for any weapon to use against him and her eyes landed on a small bone dagger a few feet away from her. Throwing herself at the dagger, she scrambled towards it, picking it up and getting on her feet, only to turn around and come face to chest torso with Taurus.

Trying to slash at him, she got blasted back into the wall by a gust of wind before Taurus's arm shot forward grabbing her by her throat, lifting her to eye level while slowly crushing her throat cutting off her air supply.

As Taurus slowly suffocated her, Glass heard the crowd cheering for her death and she hated it. She hated their cheers, hated their laughter, hated the people that brought her here, hated whoever they worked for and everything in this damned town, this damned country, and most of all, the damned race of humans that had reduced her to this, to a mere criminal.

Focusing on the hate flowing through her, she tightened her grip on the dagger and attempted to stab Taurus in the eye, only to watch in shock and fear as the dagger was sliced to pieces by wind blades causing Glass's eyes to widen in fear as the hand around her throat tightened even more, causing her to see spots. Raising her hands in a last-ditch effort to punch him, everything around her began to go dark as she threw a weak punch to his face.

Surprisingly, her punch landed on his face, not even getting any response from him. Her skin crawled, and the next thin she knew, she was flung away from Taurus into a weapons rack as his scream of pain filled the arena. Falling to the ground, she tried to get up, only for a morningstar to fall on her arm, breaking it.

Gasping for air, Glass pushed off the morningstar from her arm and got up, looking at Taurus's direction trying to find out why he was screaming. Clawing at his eye, Taurus scraped at his eye, pulling out several quills from his eye, throwing them on the floor. Realizing that his eye was damaged and no longer functional, he let out another roar of rage mixed with sadness as wind blades erupted from his location, tearing up the surrounding around him before it eventually died down.

Turning his single hate filled eye towards Glass, Taurus took slow deliberate steps towards her, this time more cautious of her and her abilities. Without giving her a chance to regain her bearings, he sprinted towards her at inhuman speeds amplified by wind. Moving at speeds too fast for Glass to react, he grabbed her by the neck dragging her all across the arena floor before planting his foot into the ground using it as a pivot to turn, throwing his opponent into the wall of the arena creating a crater in the wall with her body.

Coughing up blood as she crashed into the wall, Glass fell to the floor her body riddled with pain and a broken arm wondering how to take out such an opponent. Struggling to get to her knees, she felt a hand wrap round her throat lifting her up. As she struggled to get out of his grip with her single arm, Taurus raised her high in the air and addressed the crowd. "Are you not entertained!!!!!" he yelled to the audience and was met with cheers in response.

"It wasn't personal at first" Taurus said to her as his grip on her neck tightened, "But I will take great pleasure in this" he said to her as he drove his fist into her gut. Throwing her into the air, he took a stance and delivered a set of rapid punches to her upper body before delivering a wind enhanced punch to her chest sending her flying across the arena and into another wall. As Glass struggled to get herself out of the hole, she once again thanked her enhanced healing factor which kept her going this long.

"Now you die" was the next thing she heard as the familiar form of Taurus blocked her view and grabbed her by the neck again. Feeling herself getting lightheaded, Glass's brain rapidly went through all the animals she knew which could help her escape this predicament when one came to mind. Using the last of her magic, she focused on the animal she had in mind, before channeling the transformation to her neck and waited for the perfect time to use it, the reptilian scales going unnoticed by her opponent.

As her face began to turn purple and she thought all hope was lost, that opportunity that she had been waiting for presented itself; he began to laugh. At first it started as a giggle, then it grew into a full-blown maniacal laughter which was carried through the arena. Soon his laughter died down and he spoke;

"I must commend you. You've done so much damage and lasted so long for someone so small, plus you've given me a good fight. I will remember th… gack". His speech was cut short when Glass suddenly contracted her newly developed neck muscles and released a stream of yellow venom into his mouth. Taurus dropped her in disgust and began to claw at his throat as the venom began to work on his body, tears of blood streaking down his cheeks and his face turning purple before he dropped to the ground on his knees, clawing at his throat.

As Glass gulped down large amounts of air, she watched Taurus vomit large amounts of blood on the floor. Propping herself up with her only good arm and getting on her feet, she made her way towards Taurus who now lay in a pool of blood gasping for air and put her foot on his chest, raising her hand in the air, "Are you not entertained!!!!!!" she yelled to the crowd as she planted her foot firmly on Taurus's chest. Taurus weakly raised his hand and tried to grab her leg, but ultimately failed due to extreme loss of blood.

As the life left him, the conductor of the match stepped into the arena and lifted a hand in the air which silenced the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, that was one hell of a fight if I do say so myself, and it's all thanks to, whoaaa" he was interrupted by Glass who lunged towards him. He leapt backwards and easily avoided her before snapping his fingers which caused Glass's cell to remerge from the ground, opening its door for an ethereal chain to shoot out and wrap itself around her neck, dragging her back into the cell.

As she was dragged into her cell, she stared at the man and heard something which got her attention; "That was Glass, ladies and gentlemen and we owe Lord James Bismarck for her capture and her presence here. Let's give it up for Lord James Bismarck ladies and gentlemen" the crowd went wild with applause as they cheered for their benefactor.

As the chain dragged her into the cell, all she could hear was the sound of the crowd cheering for Bismarck, and as the cell door closed, descending underground into the dark, she knew who was responsible for her predicament.

"Watch out Bismarck" she thought to herself as the light vanished, "I swear to all the gods, I will kill you James Bismarck, even if it's the last thing I do"
