I woke up feeling disoriented and a massive pounding in my head. I didn't remember when I fell asleep but I was dreading going to school in this state. Carefully, I step out of bed and catch a glimpse at the clock on the nightstand. It read 7:20 AM. Class started at 8 and normally I was out of the house by now. Pushing away from the fatigue, I dash out of the room and look for the room Mateo was in. I barge in and witness Mateo sleeping soundly. I walk towards the bed and try waking Mateo from his slumber. "Mateo, wake up! We are going to be late for school!" I yell/whisper as I shake him. He doesn't budge and just turns over to his other side.
"Just a few more minutes..." He says as he grabs onto my arm pulling me down with him on the bed. His grip was strong and he must've mistaken me for one of his large throw pillows. I struggle against his grip but to no avail.
