"The schools right there, I'll start walking ahead of you now." I start walking ahead of Dae Hyun, a little part of me disheartened that our little moment was about to end.
"Wait, do you want to walk with me after school? We head in the same direction." He says. As he does so I see a hint of worry in his eyes. I think back to Dae Hyun asking me about Mateo, did Dae Hyun think of me as a close friend?
"Fine with me. See ya in class." I wave and walk away from him.
I walk in through the school doors and see May waiting for me in front of my locker. We walk with her and the rest of the girls from yesterday.
May and I walk to our lockers and we hear the girls screaming as Dae Hyun, Mateo, and their friends walking by. I see Mateo first and he waves at me as I smile and I wave back. I see Dae Hyun behind him but he doesn't spare me a look and keeps walking. I look at him, confused as to why he likes to play the pull and push game with me when there are people around.
