Horace's eyes flew open and he quickly took in his surroundings. What he saw confused him greatly. He found himself on a bed that wouldn't have been out of place in a Victorian age castle. "So you've finally decided to awaken.", said a smooth and melodious voice. A man that Horace had previously failed to notice was seated in the far corner of the room. He was perhaps the most attractive man that Horace had ever laid eyes upon.
"W-who are you...?" stammered Horace as he was overcome by the sheer beauty of the man. The man gave Horace a sly smirk. "My name is Mordecai and I happen to be the leader of the territory you currently find yourself in ,you may now show your respect in what ever way you see fit whether it be a bow or pledging your undying loyalty."
Horace gave the man a quick look of insanity"...so why am I here exactly?", Horace asked, unable to make eye contact with Mordecai. "You're here because your useful to me. That's all.", said Mordecai as he gave Horace another sly smirk. " I wish to teach you about this world and how you and I can make it ours. I will now answer any other questions you may have but be quick about it. Until you've proven your worth I don't have time to waste.", said Mordecai in a superior tone.
"First, where exactly am I?", asked Horace. "You're in my home of course, you buffoon.", snorted Mordecai as he gave Horace the same look that one would give an idiot. "That's not what I meant-", Horace blurted out. "Am I still in the same country- the same world- the same universe? Like- where am I?", Mordecai, who had seconds before taken Horace for a fool, chuckled to himself. He realized that he himself was the fool for misunderstanding the question.
Mordecai faced Horace with a wicked gleam in his eyes "You're in Tellus, Horace. The world where elements are king." "And what else?", asked Horace "Like, how did I get here? Why am I here? Seriously dude, this isn't that hard. Jesus Christ.", Horace grumbled in annoyance. "Like I told you before. You're here to assist me in making this world bow before me.", Mordecai answered back. "-and as to how you got here- I brought you here in ways you have not yet earned the right to know.". Horace, having begun to get over the looks of the man, realized that the other man was a fucking dickhead.
"Haven't earned the rights to know- hey who the fuck are you bitch!?". Horace was ready to slap the pretty out of Mordecai's face by then. Mordecai gave Horace a dangerous look and proceeded to move his hands in a fluid motion. The water in the pitcher next to Horace quickly evacuated the container and hung in the air for a moment.
With another wave of Mordecai's hands the water took shape and formed a sharp blade. It then pressed itself against Horace's neck. "This is who I am you dirty fucking ingrate.", Mordecai spat. "Who are you to ever say such words to me? It would be too easy for me to kill you.". Horace, with the aqua knife still pressed firmly against his neck, looked Mordecai in his eyes. "DO IT MORDY! BETCHU WON'T! NO BALLS!".
Mordecai waved his hands and the water blade that was pressed against Horace's neck returned to the pitcher. The man then stood and gestured for Horace to do the same. "You and I should take a walk.". Horace continued to stare at Mordecai fiercely. The small man was amazed that his outburst had just saved his life. "I will take that walk with you once you answer a few more questions.", said Horace whose body was still filled with adrenaline. The other man eyed up Horace, "I will answer all of the questions you have after I show you where you are. You've earned that much."
As Horace got out of the bed he took notice of his new attire. He now wore shorts and a long sleeve shirt made of a mystery fabric. "I see that you're admiring the clothes that I've picked out for you.", said Mordecai with a twinge of pride in his voice. "The fabric that the clothes are made of comes from a creature that I raise here. It's a special kind of sheep that's wool helps one control their abilities."
Horace very much wanted to ask about Mordecai's ability to control water and where that came from but he decided that he could ask that after he knew a bit more about the situation he found himself in. "Follow me!", shouted Mordecai as he stood outside of the doorway and waited for Horace to follow him out. Horace quickly followed after the other man. He was led down multiple hallways and through the rest of Mordecai's home, which turned out to be a castle that was quite large in size. As they continued with the tour, Horace attempted multiple times to ask Mordecai questions about himself, the castle, and the world he found himself in. The answer that he received every time he asked was, "In due time you will know what you wish to know."
As their tour ended, Horace found himself standing in a room that was as large as a gymnasium. It was full of men and women who appeared to be attempting to kill each other via hand to hand combat. "This is the training room where my soldiers improve their usefulness to me.", Mordecai said. The sight of the room and it's people had piqued Horace's interest. "You have a vast army. Does that make you some kind of ruler?", asked Horace . Mordecai quickly turned to face Horace "with your help I hope to become one".
An evil look crept onto his face. Horace was spooked by the look on the other mans face but he, just like everyone else ,had at least once dreamed of world domination. Horace returned Mordecai's gaze and the same creepy look rose on his face " so where do we begin : he said
