Josh was shocked that Sky kissed back, but that didn't stop him from keep kissing her.
A few minutes had passed. They broke the kiss. Sky was bright red.
Josh smiled.
"Wh-What?" Sky stuttered as she had realized what just happened.
"You like the kiss?" Josh asked, smirking.
Sky nodded as she was too shocked that happened and she enjoyed the kiss.
"Good," Josh stated, "you don't know how long I've wanted to do that."
Sky took a deep breath before replying with, "oh? How long have you wanted to kiss me?"
"For a while now," he said, "but to be specific it was when I noticed that you wanted to fight for what's right and you practicing none stop. Also, when I saw you in the dress."
Her eyes widened. "So, the first few weeks that I was in the group?"
"Give or take."
"But you were mean to me in those weeks? You said that I wouldn't be able to be an assassin, even though I had told you that I used to train with a Templar guard." Sky honestly couldn't believe what she was hearing. But then again, she's only been chased by Eric whose always shown that he likes her.
"I know and I'm sorry for being mean to you during those times. I wanted to make sure you had what it takes to be an assassin and I also didn't know what I was feeling at that time."
"No. You knew that I had what it takes to be an assassin. You knew that I want to kill the king due to what he's doing towards women," Sky said as she pushed Josh away. She ran away and towards her house, her aunt's house.
Once she was at her aunt's house, she ran straight to her room. Sky had to say those things to make him, Josh, stop having those thoughts of them getting together. It did hurt Sky to do it, but she had to do what she had to do. She didn't want the King to kill Josh because of him having feelings for her and having an affair when she's supposed to be engaged or married to James. Sky didn't want to go through that again.
Aunt Rie heard Sky coming in and running to her room. "Sweetpea?"
"I'm fine. I just need time to myself," Sky said as she knew what her aunt was going to ask.
"Ok. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here. If you don't want to talk to me, then I'll go and get Jaz," Aunt Rie replied.
"Ok. I don't need to talk to anyone right now." Sky let out a big sigh. She didn't know if she could put what happened into words without breaking down or the other person getting mad. She knew if she spoke to her Aunt or to Jaz, they'd get mad at Josh or her.
Sky just stayed in her room for a few hours to calm down before she came out of her room.
Once she got to the living room, she saw Jaz and someone else.
"Jaz?" Sky asked.
Jaz jumped as she was into her own thoughts about what she was going to do about Sky's situation with the Prince. "Sky," she replied.
"Sorry for scaring you. I wasn't expecting to see you," Sky said as she walked over to her.
"It's fine," Jaz said as she let out a small smile. "Oh. This is Hope. My wife."
Hope smiled, "hello. It's nice to finally meet you. I've heard so much from your sister about you."
"It's nice to meet you as well. I hope you're taking good care of my sister," Sky said as she smiled back.
"I am," Hope said.
"Good, because her last relationship was bad."
"I know. I was the one who saved her from him and also might've killed him," Hope said as she mumbled the last part.
Sky heard the last part and smiled. "Anywho, what brought you two here?"
"I heard that the Prince picked you to be his wife," Jaz said.
"Right. Yeah, I had no idea that was going to happen. I was trying to blend in and not get seen by any royalty, but as you know, that failed," Sky said as she let out a chuckle.
"Sis, you stick out like a sore thumb either it be your clothes or personality or your appearance in general," Jaz said.
"I wish I didn't stick out like a sore thumb," Sky mumbled, "why must I be the way I am?"
"Sis, you get it from mother," Jaz said.
"Yeah, I bet."
"Anyways, moving on, what are you planning to do?"
"There's nothing I can do, but play along," Sky said as she sat down on a chair.
"There has to be something you can do," Jaz said as she also sat down near Sky.
"I mean there is something I can do, but it's way too risky," Sky said.
