That evening, Devonte dropped by the grocery store on his way to Natalie's apartment from work.
He knew she was taking advantage of the fact that Lucy was too busy playing with Rosaly and riding into the sunset with Theodore. Once she snapped back into business mode, Natalie might be under constant pressure. She'd been working from home for the last few days but barely took a breather.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd think you're regretting ending your engagement with him now that he's married." He joked.
