Vyrie shook her head, pleading with me not to tell Ryle what I had just heard. Then Ryle started walking towards us till he got to where we were standing, and I chuckled because Vyrie's expression was so frightened and panicked.
When Ryle got close enough, he inquired, "Hey, what's up?" But Vyrie didn't look at Ryle; instead, she looked at me, her eyes still begging. Her sweat is streaming down her face, and I can see it. Then my gaze shifted to Ryle, who seemed perplexed by what was going on.
"Nothing, we're just talking, yeah, I just want to remind you that I'm suspended, so no more hangouts for this month," I said, although the last words I said were true because Ryle plans to invite me to play basketball this month. Then I looked at Vyrie, who drew a long breath and smiled, relieved that I hadn't told Ryle about her secret.
