Many have heard of them, inexplicable beings that come and go, who observe you and devour your fear, feeding on it without you being able to do more than look at them.
Many see them as dark figures, with a human figure but without features, and with bright red eyes, which as alarms, yell at you that you must flee even though your body cannot move. But many speak of them as adult figures.
What if I told you ... that they can be kids too?
Dark children, black as if they had an endless depth of darkness in their body, small and faceless, except for their red eyes that seem to be cursing you and looking at you without losing a single step of sight.
Nobody talks about them, but I know that they exist, because I have lived it firsthand ... I think nobody talks about them, because they are much more terrifying than the "Shadow Men", even, it could be said that they can even stick to you for years, not letting you sleep, stalking you and making you feel a chill, as if someone were blowing behind your neck.
Now yes, I am going to start telling you about these creatures so that you are careful when you come across one and that it does not get stuck with you.
When I was a child, I always liked to tease my sister to play with me, since she was the youngest. I know that sometimes she was even a bit annoying, that's why my sister, in order for me to leave her alone, began to tell me horror stories, sometimes without being asked, and other times at my insistence.
One afternoon, while in our room, he told me another horror story, a very common one from Latin America, "La Llorona"; Although, that story has nothing to do with these creatures, I am so terrified of being a girl that accidentally, I think my powerful fear, was able to call that creature, like a flower that attracts people with its nectar. a mere bee.
At first, when I looked out the window, I could make out in the distance a figure standing in the distance, a black figure in the human form of a child looking at me, but like all ignorant, I simply did not pay attention. Also, I must say, I didn't see him that often.
Over time, that figure began to stay longer watching me, and as time passed, it hid in certain places, approaching and generating a shorter and shorter distance. How can I put it, its description is already a bit vague, but it did not have many features.
I always saw him in the daytime. And I mark him as an "HE", because in my opinion he was a boy, but I'm sure he cannot be identified with a gender in himself. It appeared to be a child, perhaps my age, or it could be a goblin being mistaken for a child, it was a dark shadow, without a face, I could distinguish its contour, and red eyes, which lacked pupils, just red. But there is something else, as it got closer, my fear was increasing every day. I was afraid that when I turned around, he might appear behind me.
The worst was when one of those days when my sister told me horror stories, I saw him glued to my window, leaning out of it, staring at me, with his dark hands resting on the fence. My fear was so terrible that I screamed and cried as hard as I could. At the time, I thought he was going to take me away.
When my mother heard my cry and cry, she ran to the room I shared with my sister. He asked what was happening, and I simply told me that my sister was telling horror stories, to or which my mother proceeded to shout for justification and to stop doing it. But how the shadow child kept looking, I told my mother that there was something looking at me through the window.
My mother, who knows that sometimes children are more perceptive, or maybe in the innocence of my early childhood, I still think that I take my words as true and not just as a product of my imagination.
To this day, I don't know if my mother prayed or did something, I just know that when she confessed to an adult that she was stalking that shadow child, he disappeared and she never saw him again.
Perhaps the only way to make them disappear is to confess your greatest fears to an adult. Or maybe not, maybe, when my fear left, since I had nowhere to feed; Or maybe it was just sheer luck.
What I do know is that they are real. Growing up, a friend confessed to me that one day, he saw two of those children together at night, standing in front of his bedroom door. He dared to ask them what they wanted, and yelled at them to leave when he received no response and was simply observed. I know that I haven't seen that friend for a long time due to loss of contact.
But, don't forget that they are real.
So real, how your fear.
Be careful, because when you feel observed, and you may not know who is watching you, maybe it could be them watching you from a corner.
Do not forget, after all, they are shadow children, and nobody knows if they do good or bad, but what we do know is that they feed on our fear.
Avoid fear or just scream.
