Two months passed by quickly. Cecil was doing his best trying not to remember the city where he had left everything, his best friends and his first love. He had felt guilty for trying to avoid Katherine but he never made contact with Samaira and Noah. Besides he had the company of Romeo who never left him alone. Cecil had felt he would be outcasted before coming here but he easily got along with Romeo's friend circle.
During those two months, Cecil found a lot about Romeo's personality. Although Romeo was the son of the school's chairman, he never took advantage of it. He treated everyone equally and nicely. Romeo also always called him a 'little kitten'. At first, Cecil used to be irked but he gradually got used to it. Then after some time, almost everyone used to call him by his nickname but Romeo stopped all of them.
"If anyone of you calls Cecil a little kitten again, I'll beat you to death."
Romeo threatened the whole class. According to Romeo, only he had the privilege to call Cecil a little kitten. Since then, only Romeo called him a little kitten. Romeo used to take Cecil everywhere he used to go like arcade, karaoke etc after school was over. Due to Romeo's influence, Cecil also started visiting those places more and often arrived home late. Having fun with Romeo made him forget about Noah for a while. Cecil always needed himself to be busy with something to forget about Noah. When he wasn't with Romeo, he studied all the time.
Because of those unusual behaviours of Cecil, Bella started worrying about Cecil. He always used to arrive home on time but these months Cecil was always late and was behaving differently. Today, Cecil had fooled around a lot with his friends so, he again arrived late than usual. When he entered his house, he saw Bella sitting on the couch waiting for him.
"Why are you late again, Cecil?"
"Oh, I was studying after classes." Cecil lied without guilt again and Bella believed him again. Cecil previously used to study after classes in the previous school so, she didn't think Cecil was lying.
"Okay then study properly." Bella smiled and went to her room.
Maybe it was because of his rebellious phase, Cecil didn't feel bad lying to his mom. He then quietly went to his room. He had just finished changing his school uniform when Cain knocked on his room's door.
"Come in."
Cain came inside looking at his brother and asked, "Why did you lie to mom?"
"What are you saying?"
"Don't lie to me. I saw you leaving school with Romeo. These months you have always been lying to mom. Why?"
Cecil was starting to get irritated and shouted, "IT DOESN'T MATTER TO YOU, DAMMITT!! GET OUT!!"
Cain was shocked but didn't say anything. He stood up and walked towards the door walking out.
"Whatever you do, it doesn't matter to me. Just don't hurt and lie to mom."
Saying that Cain walked away. It was the first time, Cecil had shouted to his brother more like cursing him. Regretting his actions immediately, he cursed at himself. Why was he letting his anger out towards his family?
Since this day, Cecil started coming home on time. He used to go out with Romeo sometimes decreasing the time he spent with him. And the most important thing Cecil found out about Romeo was he was gay. He didn't know at first but knew about it after hanging out with Romeo a lot. He discovered through his other friends when they teased him as Romeo was always clinging to Cecil and pampered him a lot.
Cecil wanted to ask Romeo but couldn't. Didn't Romeo feel bad when someone called him gay? Even when his friends teased him saying he loved Cecil, Romeo just used to smile embarrassingly. Cecil remembered when Noah was asked if he liked Cecil and Noah had straightly denied it but Romeo just used to smile and say nothing. If Romeo was gay then Cecil had finally one friend who was the same as him.
Cecil had always wanted to share his troubles but couldn't. At first, Samaira made fun of his feelings and secondly, he couldn't tell anyone that he loved a straight guy. If Romeo is gay then he could understand him. So, Cecil made a decision to talk with Romeo. He got ready to go to school to meet Romeo.
