Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Family Fuedes

Daniel's POV

Being wokken up by screaming pups running through the halls was not my ideal way of waking up on a Sunday. But they who cares I'm awake, reaching for my phone I missed turning the brightness down the bright numbers made me grown in annoyance. I was woken up half past seven in the fucking morning on a Sunday. Growning I trurned on my side shutting my eyes trying to fal asleep but being met with the banshee screams of pups. After just laying in my bed for a half an hour and contemplating if I was going to kill those little brats who woke me up at this ungodly hour. Deciding against it I half crawl fell out of my bed to go see is Poblo had started with breakfast yet. Opening my door I was met with the strong sent of wolves and the sweet scent of bacon floading my senses. Being in a pack had iets perks like there was always food ready when you are woken by the others in the house. Walking through the halls I was greeted by many lower ranking pack members as I walked past them giving them a composed nod. Turning a corner I was met with the sight of my uncle leaving my father's office, uncle Andrew was my mother's younger brother. He was a well built man with wavy dark brown hair and a lightly tanned skin, this making his icy blue ice stand out and make you lock your gaze with his. He was rocking his usual stubble giving him his usual dad like aura.

"Uncle Andrew long time no see!" I smiled brightly walking closer for a hug.

"Hi champ!" my uncle's deep voice boomed as he hugged me back is smaller body slamming into myne almost knocking the breath out of me.

"How have you been haven't seen you around in a while. Did you finally find a mate and settle down and forget about us?" I questioned mockingly questioned laughing.

"No, you know that my mate is no more with us and if she or he was I would never forget my favorite nephew." uncle Andrew laughed turning to leave.

"I have to get back to the council. Oh that reminds me your father wants to see you, and in all seriousness do listen to this warning because I won't be able to protect you again." his face turned cold and stern letting his councilmen  side of his personality shine through.

Uncle Andrew always tried his best to be light hearted since he felt the pain of loosing his mate a few years ago. He also tries not to involve council afares with his personal life.

"Bye I guess." I shrugged knocking on my father's office door as my uncle walked away.

"Come in." my father's deep authoritive voice ecoed behind the door.

Opening the door the office came into sight not showing any change, this was the same office where I used to play hide and seek in with my father and mother. His office was lined with two huge ass shelves containing hundreds of books that belonged to the alphas before my father as well as our entire pack history and how we had become so powerful and big over the years. At the opposite end of the room stood my dad's deck a large dark oak table with my father sitting there with his large form making you feel as if he belonged there. Walking closer I studied my father's feature from his black well kept hair with a few gray hairs shining through thanks to yours truly. His tanned muceled figure witch resembled myne just a lot older and more battle scared through the years, his intense drark brown eyes that had always been able to stare right through me with little effort.

"Daniel, do you even know why you are here?" my father questioned with his tipical stern voice most alphas had.

"No not really." I shrugged sitting down in one of the couches lining the walls.

"This is about the rogues that was killed yesterday in the clearing." my father's voice grew cold and bitter as he said this.

"Okay what about it? The fact that they were in our territories or that I was attacked by them out of no where?" I questioned sitting up being more interested about the subject and now fully awake.

"The fact the you and several other wolves from my pack killed thirteen rogues in my territory. Daniel you do know the council had to be convinced to give you just a warning and this is only thanks to Andrew's input and devence on your behalf." my father explained as he picked up another document of many witch littered his desk.

"So I am in trouble for defending myself from rogues that wanted to kill me and my mate while we were defensless?" I yelled standing up from the couch readying to defend myself.

"Yes. You killed thirteen shifters in that clearing, you might of defended yourself but it still ended in you and other members from my pack killing other shifters!" my father's voice started to raise in anger.

"You know what dad I just don't give a shit then! They threatened my mate and my pack lands! Like you always say our lands have been earned and that we should at all cost defend them!" I yelled storming out of his office making sure to leave his door wide open so that every person who had been walking by could see how angry my dad had become because of my sudden out burst.

Storming outside I started ripping of my clothes before heading through the treeline to shift. Feeling my bones brake and reform as my muscles tore and reform and feeling dark gray hairs growning out of skin as my teeth starting to sharpen. Feeling my mind slip away as Luke stepped forward to take control as my wolf form's powerfull legs started to push us deeper and faster into the woods. The feeling of the air rushing through my hair, and the loosened earth beneath my paws only made me and Luke want to go faster through the trees. In this form I could hear any and all the sound in a mile radius with in these woods. Fifteen minutes into our run was when we noticed  my mother's scent leading to a clearing nearby. Nearing the clearing the silent sobs from my mother pierced my ears only making me run faster. Breaking through the trees I slowed down as I came closer to my mother who was sitting on her knees crying as she held on to dirt that had been dug up. Coming close enough for my mother to sence me made her spin around to see who I had snuck up on her.

"Daniel." my mother sighed as she reached out her hand for me to come closer.

Feeling my body change back my mother rememoved her swall she had around her shoulders for me to cover myself.

"Thanks. Mom what is wrong? Why are you crying in the middle of the woods?" I questioned as I raped my arm around my mother's small shoulders.

That is when her little form broke down into uncontrollable sobs. Pulling her closer I felt her hands rap around my bear waist.

"I lost the baby." my mother whispered through her sobs.

The reality hit me harder than it had in years, I always knew my perants had always struggled with being able to concive children. After years of trying had they only succeeded in me being born witch the doctors said was only because the moon goddess showed mercy upon them. They had tried for a few years after I was born, but after three miscarriages, two twins and one baby a few years ago I had presumed my mother and father had given up. The heap of loose dirt that layed in front of us was were my mother had buried the baby she had lost. Only after my mother had wiped a tear from my cheak did I know that I was crying. Pulling my mother closer we both cried for a few more minutes before my father had walked up to us to find his son and wife crying over a grave of one of his unborn children. Hearing my father fall to his knees is one of the most painful things I had ever heard, because my dad was the alpha, the strongest man I knew and now he was sitting next to his wife and son on his knees crying for the child he had lost. After sitting there for a few more minutes I stood up and shifted and just ran. I didn't really know where I was running or where I was running to all I  knew was that I was running away from that hurt searching for somewhere where I wouldn't hurt so much anymore.

Though the trees the scent of my mate flashed past me, slowling to a trot I followed the sweet scent of summer berries mixeture, vanilla with the faintes scent of fresh roses. Walking through the trees a beautiful house started to apeer  through the thining trees. As a low iron gate came into view a young boy's figure came into view who seemed to be playing with his younger sibling, with what seemed to blanket littered with toys. Walking the gentle voice of my mate filled my ears as he kneeled beside his sibling.

"Jay focus on the form you will be in, not on how it is going to happen." his wisperes filled the air before the young boy screamed in terror.

Out of instinct my mate placed the you boy behind him in a defensive manner, slowly walking closer I lowered myself in a nondevencive manner. Locking eyes with Tay it seemed as if a switch had been flipped in his mind. Seeing his body relax as he lowered himself to his young brother.

"It's okay Jay. He isn't a bad wolf, he's my friend." Tay whispered as he pulled the blanket beside him closer.

Standing up Tay slowly opened the metal gate for me to entire, stepping into the yard, Tay threw the blanket over me before standing next to his brother.

"Jay, this is Daniel he is quickly going to shift back so don't be scared if you hear bones braking. Okay?" Tay explained picking up his younger brother.

"Okay." the little boy in his arms replied as he held onto his brother.

Slowly I lowered myself feeling my bones starting to bend and brake as my skin stretched and my fur on my body started to retreat back into my body. Feeling the last of my bones braking and snapping back into place I grabbed the blanket over me and made sure nothing as showing as I tide it around my waist.

"Hi snowflake." I whispered smiling softly.

"Come on let's get something for you to wear." Tay smiled turning around with his brother in his arms.

Before Tay had even came close to the door it swung open revealing three figures staring me down. Tay's sister stood tall and proud as the man infront of her glared at me. He seemed to have been taller than Tay, the man shared Tay's dark hair but everything else was different. He had lightly tanned skinned witch made his dark hair and dark green eyes pop, the woman who had been standing next to him was such shorter than the man with her waist length dark red hair waving in the window behind her. Her pale skin seeming to glow in the sun just as Tay's did, her bright blue eyes staring into as if to set me on fire. As the man made his way to walk closer Tay stopped him as he placed himself in his path.

"Mom, Dad this is Daniel. My mate." these words where the only to slip from his lips as he turned and walked to me, grabbing my hand he gided me past his parents and sister still holding his brother.

"Mom can he stay for dinner!" Tay yelled behind him towards his mother.

"S-sure I guess." his mother stammered looking at us and then to her husband in shock.

"But he must help!" She yelled as well started to decend up the stairs.

As Tay led me through the hall he quickly opened his door to his room, his scent hit me squire in the face and I loved it.

"Sit and hold him." Tay ordered as he handed his younger brother to me as he walk to his closet to search for clothes I could wear.

Feeling the little boy in my lap get comfortable as he stared at his older brother, his eyes caught my attention they shared his brothers peculiarity. His one eyes was a bright blue witch he shared with his mother and one hazel colored eye looking up bright. He shared his brother's pale skin and curly hair but his noise was just decorated in light frecals and his hair was a bright shade of strawberryblond he had also seemed to be much smaller then the usual four or even a big five years old. Staring at little boy in my lap I could see how he admired his older brother.

"Here you go. You better be lucky I have such oversized clothes, quickly get dressed my mom is waiting." Tay said giving me the clothes and taking his brother from my lap.

"Well aren't you bossy." I laughed standing up towering over Tay and his brother.

This only to be met with Tay smirking at me with his brother on his hip.

"Tay is lover boy gonna take much longer!" a female voice yelled.

"No!" Tay yelled back before leaning in,  "If you think I'm bossy wait till my mother asks if she should wait for you again." Tay whispered with a wicked grin before turning to leave.

"Jay let's go play outside again okay." Tay laughed as his brother bounced in his arms.

Letting the blanket fall to the ground I picked up the clothes Tay had placed on the bed, a simple black sweatpant and a lose shirt. After pulling the shirt over my head I look myself up and down in his mirror, Yup you can see my buldge, guess I'll have to keep my composure. The shirt was not as loose as what it seemed but yet future skin tight showing all my muscles. Taking a deep breath I opened the door to see Jade walking past only to receive a eye role.

Turning into the living room Tay's younger brother squeald as he ran from his brother chasing him, noticing me he darted for me hiding behind my legs.

"Save me!" he laughed while Tay stopped to stare at me.

Making eye contact with Tay I noticed him smirking as he looked me up and down, taking my chance I grabbed his brother and held him tight.

"Huh now he's mine!" I chuckled as Tay acted hurt and as his brother laughed into my ear.

"Jay would you choose him over me?" Tay asked acting shock as he walked closer.

"Yes, cause he doesn't want to tickle me!" Jay giggled hugging my neck.

"O is that so?" I questioned before I started to tickle his little body, swing his opportunity Tay joined in.

"There you are, put him down and get in this kitchen. Now." Tay's mother spoke through our laughing.

Putting Jay down his giggles made me smile, I would not miss a few of they are like him.

"Ohh he's in trouble!" Jay laughed as I walked into the kitchen only to see that Tay's father also stood there just looking at me.

After what felt like an eternity I was finally done helping Tay's mother with the food, we didn't make anything special just steaks with a mushroom sauce and a simple salad. Grabbing the plates I quickly started to set the table at the orders of Merry, don't let her sweet little figure fool you she is a scary woman. Looking into the living room my mate was sitting on the floor with his little brother in his lap with a book on his lap. Placing the last fork I walked closer not making a sound.

"What's that word?" Jay asked pointing at the book.

"Buttercup, it is a pretty yellow flower." Tay explained as his brother looked at the word.

"He is going to miss Tay." Merry whispered next to me giving me a small heart attack.

"Why? He isn't going anywhere." I whispered looking at them.

"You and Tay are mates you will need to be together, that means either you move in with us or him with you." she whispered with a sad look.

"Come and get it!" Merry yeld before I could respond.

With a speed I had only seen pups Jay had jumped up running to his seat, laughing I walked over and picked him up placing him in his seat that had at least three cushions so he cold see what he was doing. Pulling out my Tay's seat I waited for him to sit, after pushing his chair in I pulled my own out and took in my seat between Jay and Tay.

"So Daniel tell me something about yourself." Jade questioned as she sat down in front of me.

"Um well I'm a only child, future alpha. What else... O my mother is a hybrid." I stuttered as Tay started to dish up for me.

"Thank you Snowflake." I purred kissing him on his cheek making him turn bright red.

"A hybrid?" Tay's dad questioned.

Stuttering caught off guard I looked at him. "Yes sir, she is a fox and wolf hybrid so is my uncle. It is quite awesome that is why our pack is okay with cross species matings. But my mom isn't able to shift because of her genetic background. My uncle can only the other hand he just looks like a small wolf when he does." I explained as he stared at me.

"Interesting. So in that case you are a hybrid in some sense as well?" Alexander looked at me as he chewed.

"In a way yes, but until a way not. My wolf form is not effect in any way. But it can be because of my dad's alpha genes." I explained.

The rest of dinner I answered a few more questions, after we all finished I help Tay clean up stealing a few kisses. After we were done we walked up to his room but before we could close the door Jay walked in. He wore his pajamas clearly just coming from his bath.

"Sorry I'll take him." Jade apologized trying to pick up her younger brother.

"No it's fine." Tay smiled as his brother wormed his way between us holding a small green blanket that reeked of his scent and his mother's scent.

We just layed there looking at each other as Jay yawned and turned and tossed getting comfortable. Looking down his small body was pressed against my chest with his wild strawberry blonde curls wild and he slept. Feeling Tay scoot closer I felt content and at ease, closing my eyes I just enjoyed his scent and him next to me even though Jay was between us.

Merry's POV

Finally locking up I looked if Jay was asleep only to find his bed empty, he must probably be with Jade. Opening her bedroom door she simply looked up and pointed in the direction of Tay's room. Closing thw door I opened his door to find Tay and Jay cuddled up next to Daniel, smiling I grabbed a blanket on his floor throwing it over them and closing the door walking to my room.
