Neither Alastair nor Samantha could sleep peacefully that night. Even Kirill could not rest peacefully for dread kept filling him whenever he remembered what would happen once Samantha learned the truth about her past.
The long night finally ended, and Samantha stood beside Saorsa as they watched the coachman pull over the carriage in front of them. The coachman bowed at the two women and opened the door. But neither woman took a step forward as they waited for Alastair and Kenneth to arrive.
"What is bothering you, Saorsa?" She queried again, unable to tolerate her unusual behavior anymore.
Since the time she had met her on the corridor, Soarsa had been unusually silent. Even her smile had vanished and she kept a solemn expression all along, even when the Queen attempted to speak to her. Something was bothering her but remained mum about it.
