"Shall I speak to him? Will that work?" Samantha moved closer to Alastair in hopes of trying to appease the animal bound to him to reveal everything he knew about their past.
Alastair was about to shake his head at her, for he knew what the outcome of the request would be. Kirill would never disclose the matter to them irrespective of what happens. But her large, innocent, green eyes made it impossible for him to reject her. She was pleading with him to allow her to speak to Kirill, and he did not have the heart to stop her.
All he could do was nod at her helplessly and watch her face brighten up in happiness.
