Alastair glanced at the grandfather clock in the banquet hall, and Morpheus followed his line of sight. He bit his lip when he realized that they had prolonged their stay. It was almost time for lunch, and they were still here, holding the King back. And being a gracious man he was, the King too had not spoken a word about their unannounced presence. Morpheus knew that they had been impolite and disrespectful for arriving without informing. And it would be impudent if they continued to stay here and withhold the Bradfords from taking care of their guest of honor.
Morpheus looked at his wife, and when he caught her attention, he nodded at her. Getting the hint, she stood up, and the couple approached the King. "My Lord, it is time we leave. Thank you very much for visiting Soren, and we apologize for coming her without prior notice. We will not take any more of your time. Have a safe journey back, My Lord." Morpheus bowed before him, and his wife followed suit.
