Alastair stayed silent for a long time, trying to perceive all that Saorsa had told him. It sure was incredulous to know that Saorsa was the one who had dropped Samantha at the Bradford mansion. Although he did not know her actual reason for doing so, he more or less understood what her intentions were.
Since the time Samantha was born, Saorsa had been taking care of her, protecting her from all possible dangers. She had made sure that Samantha at least had a roof above her head to protect her from the storms and the sun and food to fill her stomach. And from the way Samantha had lived at the Bradford mansion, Alastair could see, albeit being a maid, Samantha had led a happy and contented life. And Alastair had nothing to blame her or complain about. Instead, all he had was appreciation and admiration.
