Saorsa noticed that the King and Samantha were still in the intimate position they were in, and from the King's expression, she deduced that she had interrupted their sweet time. Not wanting to irk the King more than he already was, she bowed at him as she stifled a smile. "I apologize for intruding like this, Milord, Samantha. I will take my level, Milord."
Samantha did not notice the smile on Saorsa's face. But Alastair did. His eyebrows rose subtly, and he frowned at her. From her expression alone, he could conclude that the girl had accepted everything that was happening. She was not worried about her friend being with him, and also the intimacy between them did not faze her. It was as though she was used to this, to them being like this; and for a moment, Alastair wondered if Saorsa knew the answers he was seeking for.
