SAILAZER'S CHAMBER
With the floating glowing blueprint of the tower, Sai started explain to Siel.
"As you can see in the outline, that is the representation of the magic tower."
Siel then asked, "Then, why is this model complete meanwhile the real magic tower that I am standing on, is divided into two. There was a magic circle in middle with the other half nowhere to be seen."
Tap, tap.
"Ahh, that."
"I teleported the other half of the tower here in Veldorra, while the top half stayed on the Kingdom of magic, Eumadory." Sai reached for a cookie and put it in his mouth.
Crunch, crunch.
Siel looked at him, still with a questioning look.
Crunch, crunch. "Why did you separate the lower and higher floors away?"
He shrugged. "Most of the annoying old geezers live at the higher floors, so I transferred here on Veldorra the other half."
Sailazer spoke as if none of it was a big deal, and this exact reaction from Sai made Siel feel awe for him.
'He did it out of whim...he is crazy powerful.' A whiff of the Sai's power crossed her memories from when Sai confronted the people of the night bazaar. She felt the strands of her hair stand up.
"You...must be a really skilled mage." She said.
Sai stopped eating cookies and dumbly looked at her, "What do you mean? Moving the magic tower is as easy as flicking my fingers. What do you expect from an Archmage?"
"Right...you are." Siel trailed her words, but had a different thought.
'Right, he's an Archmage, although he don't act like one...'
"I am. I am probably the most powerful mage in history. My magic has achieve the highest color of mana afterall."
Siel leaned closer seemingly interested so Sai continued to explain.
"There are seven level for a magician. Each level represents a color. The lowest rank mage could only produce a violet colored mana. If a magician happens to be smart enough to get past being a noob, their mana turns indigo, hence, becoming a 3rd tier magician.
The next rank would be to become 2nd tier magician, the rank which means that a mage is slightly stronger. Most 2nd tier mages get to be promoted and are allowed to assist for missions and quests, they are like kids who got to graduate from preschool level to elementary level in terms of skills. Something like that."
Siel asked, "Then, what color does the 2nd tier mages possess?"
"Crunch. Well..." Sai took another cookie.
"2nd tier mages have blue mana---Oh, by the way, once a mage surpasses a rank, they can no longer change the color to their former shade. It stays that way, unless they get to change their ranks to higher levels."
"I see..." So once their rank increases, their color changes to the current level of their powers. If they improved to blue mana, they can no longer use the noob, violet mana...
'A noob rank, 3rd tier, then 2nd tier magician...' Siel made a mental note to remember the mages' rank.
"Then, you have mentioned the three ranks, what about the others?"
Clank.
Sai put down the tea cup before speaking with a bitter face, "Why did they serve such bitter tea?", he mumbled while glaring at the tea begrudgingly.
He slumped again on the chair and sunk on its soft cushion, still glaring at the cup that he has put down.
"...The next rank is a 1st tier mage." He started explaining to the tea cup.
"They lead most missions as they are then capable, the indication of the existence of the1st tier mage is their green mana. Although rare, most 1st tier develop healing magic too, so they are extremely precious, well, at least according to the old hags and oldtimer higher ups."
"Like Zemira?!" Siel exclaimed, Sai flinched and looked at her surprised, breaking the starring battle between himself and the teacup.
"...You don't have to shout, oaf."
Siel chuckled at his response. It seemed as if the bitter taste of the tea has left Sai's expression.
"Well, Zemira is kind of cool, like a cool older sister." Siel.
Sai raised his head and sharply scrutinized the shining face of Siel, 'They just met, but look at her admiring Zemira. She wasn't like that to me. To her brother.'
Sai was not having it, he looked away, iritated.
"Continuing, the next in the ranking is called the "A Class" rank. These are the mages who broke through their human limits, their mana transforms yellow at this stage. Despite being freer, most of this level chooses to work at the tower as their abilities are more suitable here. They teaches young and stupid mages...well, you could say that they are strong, a lot stronger than even tier ranks."
"Why do they choose to stay in the tower than do quests?"
Sai smiled in the air, "Well, mages are prideful individuals, they want to prove themselves nonstop, additionally, it is natural for mages to be curious, hence, the magic tower where all sorts of magic and stronger individuals are where they reside. It is the natural law of mages. Plus, they have to be monitored in check, so they don't get stupid ideas like dooming the world."
Sai's smile stretched even bigger, "I have to keep them on their toes, so they know their place."
He bit the cookie while starring with raised eyebrows.
"Anyway, Zemira is indeed a 1st tier mage. Not a lot of mages are able to raise their ranks, that is why they are deemed amazing."
Sai spoke crudely despite the annoyed expression on his sister's face. "You keep acting like the strongest, Sai."
Sai raised the cookie on his finger while shrugging, "Because I am?"
