I just groaned and rolled my eyes over their conversation but there was something different around my mate, Verona. I can't tell what it could be but there was some kind of heat that was radiating around her. She's not even in heat but she's hot.
"Alright. Lexana, train with me and like it or not, you will if the price is a new for Verona's future with you." Ceres caught my attention which made Verona shake her head as if she didn't want to be in the middle of it or something.
"Whatever." I only said as I started on my way back while dragging Verona in her arms but Ceres easily took her away from me.
"Very weak. How can you be an alpha if you can even protect or even save your mate, not to mention there's a whole pack in the package." Ceres mocked her with a smirk that really made my blood boil.
"Ceres...don't." Verona warned her but in her weak voice. I'm getting worried over that tone.
