Lucas tried to remember as hard as he could the night he filled in the booking. He could not recall reading anything that looked off in his eyes.
The young brunette receptionist had tried to explain over and over again, but the information kept on bouncing back. Even when she turned her monitor and proved that it was ticked on that particular questionnaire, he was perplexed.
The possibility of someone else did the booking was close to zero. He was sure of that since he remembered taking out his card for payments.
Perhaps the lady sensed his body language or his facial expressions was odd, she offered to call room service to clean it up. Yet deep within, he could not bring himself to say no. He would want to see what Sara's reaction would be.
