It was still daylight when Lucas parked his nicely-waxed black Jeep in front of the administration building. He remained seated behind the wheel with his engine running, his head facing downwards where the gear stick stood.
Sara was about to surprise him when a soft melodious song came from the small device on her hand. Either Lucas had sensitive hearings or her ring tone must have been loud enough that he immediately turned his head.
The deep dark blue orbs met her hazel globe and like a chain reaction, they instantly wore silly smiles on their face as their eyes were shooting hearts at each other.
His soft blonde hair bounced as he climbed down the car and enveloped her petite figure in his arms.
Like the gentleman he was to Sara, he placed his palm gently on her back as he ushered her to the passenger seat and opened the door for her. It was an unusual feeling and she felt slightly burdened by it.
'I wonder how long would this last?'
