Now that they were satiated and began driving away from the restaurant, Lucas had made up his mind to tell Sara where they were heading next to. Otherwise her mind would be running wildly if he started driving deep into the forest without her knowledge.
"So, remember about me telling you about setting up a tent to watch the Milky Way?" Lucas nervously glanced at her, trying to be as nonchalant as possible with his tone.
Sara gave him a suspicious look and remained silent. She had been feeling unsettled since dinner and now she understood why. She was afraid if she had said yes to his question, she would end up seeing the Milky Way that same night. If she had said no, he would try to persuade and still end up seeing the Milky Way anyway. It was a 'damn if I do and damn if I don't' kind of situation and silence, together with ignorance, was the best way to get out of this.
Lucas called out her name and nudged her slightly but Sara was committed in staying silent.
