Feeling dejected, Sara returned to the Round Dwelling with her head hung low, her feet dragging her body without any enthusiasm.
"What happened? Did she forget something?" asked Ayten, the lady of the house, as she craned her neck to look at the nothingness behind Sara.
The pregnant person could only shrug her shoulder in response and headed straight to her room, leaving Don to be her spokesperson and answer all the questions they might want to know. Despite their hushed voices, Sara could still make out their voices - rather audible in her ears. She covered her ears with the fluffy green pillows and closed her eyes tight, lulling and forcing herself to sleep so time would slip by.
"It's only for a few hours. He said he will be here when I wake up later."
Like counting sheep, repeating the mantra did not work. The more she forced herself to sleep, the wide-awake she became.
She was overwhelmed with emotions.
