The barefoot lady with the black hair had her head bowed down with respect, but her insides churned in a weird sensation at the apparent distaste when the Commander spat out the last word.
"I... I was really lost." Her voice was unintentionally soft, worn down by tiredness.
"Nimue!" was all that the Commander said but the ripple effect was astounding. It all started by the sound of the attendees murmuring and their synchronised mutterings turned into a buzz as it filled the whole atrium.
Next, the sound of metals dropped to the ground and rattled rather violently. Startled, Sara turned her head to find the source that was nearest to her. It was the pole weapon held by the guards.
Her eyes were focused onto nothing but the dropping pole as though the clanking sound bewitched her, waiting intently for it to settle down and remained stationary.
