Her eyes flung opened as her breathing turned ragged, and she gasped for more air. She was in a state of confusion, not sure whether she had already awoken from the scary nightmare or she had jumped from one scene of horror to the other.
She looked at her surrounding, but all she could see was plain darkness. It was not as black as it was previously, but the absence of light was evident.
Scanning around, there was a sliver of dimmed orange light coming from under the door on one side of the room. She brushed the ground she was lying on and felt its soft material and its fluffiness.
As she tried to adjust to her surrounding, Lucas came looming towards her. Her body jolted in surprised at his presence as her mind was still fresh from the visions she had seen earlier on.
