Days had passed rather quickly.
As of late, rumours spread faster than you could say "I told you so!"
In fact, the blonde-haired man would not be surprised if the whole campus knew about it by now. For what purpose? He was not sure either, but he knew it was with malicious intent.
It was getting risky and riskier to have her coming to work, even when he kept her in his office. She kept on insisting on going for a stroll in the park. If he were to stop her, would that not be obvious?
He had to hang on to the little faith he had and prayed that she would ignore the rumours like she used to. He simply could not fathom why she was getting curious to hear all the rumours going around lately.
It felt like he lost his will to live when she was reacting differently after hearing it firsthand. Fortunately, he was glad she was fooled by his love for her.
