The pair walked up the long white stairs of the government building. Its roman columns erected tall and strong, acting both as a decoration and support. Its majestic and grand wooden doors opened wide for the public, were guarded by uniformed personnel.
Hand in hand and interlaced, they both walked through the door of the courthouse, hearts racing wildly to enter a new beginning. They penned down their name at the visitors' logbook next to the receptionist and asked for the right direction.
With every step, it felt light on their feet as though they were on cloud nine. After climbing the endless stairs and winding down the hallways, they finally reached a transparent glass door.
Like many government buildings, a ticket dispenser greeted them as it provides their utmost assistance. A range of coloured buttons with descriptions aided their first beginnings.
