Her question was intriguing. Her tone seemed to suggest that he and the other person know each other, but when asked, she too, sound clueless.
Even when he tried to remember who that person might be in his past, he could not. Not because that person does not appear to exist in his memory, but because he could not remember the facial features of the man he met few days ago!
Racking his brain was futile, a vain effort. It was not like their encounters were in KEI that he could produce some image from the security cameras. It was only a brief glimpse, no more than sixty seconds in an island he had no control over.
'If only I looked at him properly, I would at least caught sight of any distinct feature to remember him by.'
Alas, not everything in this world bows down to any creature on Earth and fate will always have more interesting games to play.
