Hours of arguing but I'd finally convinced Draco that Ida wasn't coming, we couldn't trust Astoria. I was dressed in a simple black and white t-shirts dress, Draco in a shirt and pants following behind, I motion him toward the fireplace, handing him some floo powder
"Zabini Manor" I say stepping into the flames, I come tumbling out of the fireplace into a beautifully decorated drawing room. I can feel Draco resting his arm in my shoulder as he leads us to an extravagant dining room. Seated at the head of the table was Astoria her lard who made no move to greet her guests she sipped her wine nonchalantly motioning to the seats beside her. She finishes her glass before snapping her fingers
"Tam, dinner" She orders before dismissing the elf. A few moments later he returns bearing three steaming plates of food. We all eat in silence before Draco interupts.
"What is it you wanted anyway, you didn't just invite us to dine did you"
"Well you see, I've come to reposess what's mine" She says with no emotion, "finish eating and I'll explain in the office"
The rest of the meal is painfully slow, as both me and Draco are terrified of what Astoria has to say, but the future is inevitable. The plates are cleared and Astoria leads us to her study.
"What do you want" I ask annoyed
"15 years ago, my daughter arrived on your porch step, yes?" she asks me
"Yes" I answer confused
"You found papers declaring you her legal guardian yes?" She asks another question
"Yes, that's doesn't answer my question"
"We are getting there patience, those papers were signed in the name of DM not AM, meaning Draco here has no parental claim over Cresseida. I on the other hand do. According to wizard law the biological parent has primary custody of said dependent. Therefore I will be taking Cressieda home with me in exactly 3 days" She says a sick smirk on her face
Really bad Chapter but I've been busy with editing for book contests. :( sorry, I'll try and work on it if I have extra time because I know people like this story
I know it was lack luster but
