Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Don’t waste your love

This Chapter Will Be Told In Third Person

An angry woman stormed down the stairs with such force the pictures on the wall shook. She started into the eyes of the man gripping her daughter, hatred stewing in her eyes, the storm met fire. The man caught the woman's eyes over the girls shoulder, seeing the pure loathing in her eyes, he released the girl.

"Get out of my house Malfoy" The woman yelled with abhorrence

"Calm down Granger I'm simply here to see my daughter" The man tried to negotiate

"Your daughter" The woman laughed sarcastically. "Your not the one who raised her cared for her, devoted your life, hopes, and dreams to her"

"I can prove it" The man said stepping into the house, he pulled a Serpent Medallion matching the one clipped to the frightened girls neck, "your name is Cresseida Narcissa Malfoy, today is your birthday, 15th to be exact, I gave you that bracket shortly after your birth charming it to fit your wrist as you age". The teenaged girl stared in shock.

"You May be my father but you sure as hell aren't my dad" the girl said ripping her necklace from her neck, "you didn't want me so you dumped the responsibility on someone else"

"10 minutes" the man demands. "Then I'll go"

The woman begins to protest

"Fine, but then you leave me and my mum alone" the girl turns and heads up the stairs. She takes a seat on her blue bed duvet, and the man sits in a plush brown reading chair.

"Ravenclaw, I always assumed my kids would be Slytherins" The man observed, pointing at a Ravenclaw Quidditch flag. The teen ignores him, and plays with the pages of a nearby book.

"You know I've spent my whole life looking for you. I didn't want to leave you" The man confesses

"Don't waste your love on somebody, who doesn't value it" The teen quotes still not making eye contact

"You've spent time much time with Granger" The man says rolling his eyes.

"Yes I spent my whole life with her, are you jealous" The girl remarks spitefully

"So. What position do you play" The man says changing the subject

"Seeker, 4th year in a row, 3rd best in Hogwarts history" She says proudly, letting her walls slip. The duo chat about Quidditch for a few minutes, quite a boring conversation to anyone else. They seem to actually be getting on debating about Applebee Arrows stats. The somewhat civil conversation is interrupted by the return of the angry mother.

"10 minutes are up" She says pointing to the door, "honor our arrangement and leave"

"I have one last thing to ask Cresseida" He says turning to the teen he'd been conversing with

"Ida please" She says trying to be polite

"Come with me to France, for a month, live with me and if you aren't happy leave and I'll never bother you again" The man proposes hope in his eyes

"No. Not a chance. She is my daughter, you cannot just take her away from me" The woman bellows

"Mum. Calm down, Mr. Malfoy I agree on one condition, my mum can join us" The girl negotiates. The two adults look at each other bitterly, with deep disdain. The woman looks to her daughter and sees hope in her eyes, the hope that she may finally know her really family to experience what a normal family is with a mum and a dad. Her eyes turn soft full of love. She'll do anything for her daughter even if it means spending a month with her greatest enemy.

"Fine" She says at last.

I wanted to try something new what do you think? Do you like 3rd person I'd be willing to experiment with it more if you liked it. I think it's easier to add details in this perspective which is why I wanted to try it! Sorry for the short chapter, i was busy today.

Cute picture of what I think Ida looks like. Imagine her other eye is grey.
