By the time they reached the small side village of Mitamer, Ashe was famished. She dropped down to the floor and groaned. "I'm hungry…"
Mae halted and turned back to look at her. "Hey, it's just a few more yards till the village. Since it's so late at night, we'll stay in there, buy some food and resume tomorrow morning."
Jake rubbed his hands from the cold. "Say, why are you on such a long trip like us, Mae?"
Mae walked forward, helping Ashe up before Jake followed them too. His legs were paining too, more than ever in his life. By travelling, he meant of windy bus rides and calm canoe trips. Not…tedious walking for till who knows when. But he forced himself to be strong, because Ashe wasn't any good right now. He didn't want to add to the burden.
